meal

rice

Au gratin

Yaaaay sho shklha zaki ...
wallah law a7awel milion marra ma bte6la3 m3y hek:-)
Lammoush Thanks :) I enjoyed making these. It was fun
Madas Ohh ... thanks. I know Bamyeh is VERY tricky. If you don't cook it right it becomes slimy and Ikey. The secret is, fry it a little bit before using it in cooking, and DON'T over cook it. (add it towards the end, boil for 5 minutes and then simmer to perfection)
Another cool way to make bamyeh is to actually fry it with the "2ad7a القدحة" Not only would it retain its shape, but it gets infused with the taste of garlic, cilantro and hot peppers. Makes it taste like heaven! (You can even eat it just like that)
7ala Ya 7ala, anyone can do it. Women in particular have a knack for cooking. It's just natural to women to do it. (not being anti women or anything, just saying naturally women are better) But Men also can learn and prefect the secrets of cooking.
I discovered that, it's not enough to know how to cook. But to know how to finish on time, prepare the ingredients, work efficiently (And cleanly). And not to regret it because of all the pots and dishes you need to clean afterwards.

You know, we usually enjoy doing the things that we are NOT FORCED to do. Tabeekh or otherwise. So If you cook for a living, you will hate it. If you cook because you HAVE to otherwise your family will starve. then you'll hate it.
But If you cook because you LOVE to feed your children only the best of the best food that they can ever have because you love them so much. THEN you will love it
And this is the case with our mothers. That's why we love our mother's food (well for the most part)

You see, This is exactly what I keep telling people, but NO BODY BELIEVES me.
Ya Jama3a, wake up. I gave up on love long time ago. It just doesn't exist. This "affliction" that people have to each other is not really love. It's EXACTLY when love is NOT
But to be fair, there are some cases where love does exist. And I don't think Married life is easy, it's actually very very hard. So people need to prepare and understand that Divorce is not an option. Unless it becomes so bad. But the idea is. People can WORK with people they HATE and make things workout for the business, then why can't they make things work for their life-long commitment? Everything is possible if there is a will. It takes patience and hard work. And when/if I get married I plan to follow this stuff. Insha2allah. (if I don't forget it all by the time I'm ready to get married in 25 more years)

life-long commitment is not like business ... maybe some things can work for both but not every thing.

Yes Love does exist but as you said Married life is not easy at all , the couples need to work hard for their relationship to keep the love , the passion , the friendship and the understanding and of course i will not forget "Respect".

So elly ma bedo yet3ab w yeshte3'el 3la 7alo shwi ma fi da3y yetzawaj w yezlem ma3o 3'ero w yezlem 7alo kaman .
Yes, that goes to both Men and Women :)
It takes two to tango, but only one to destroy a marriage.

LOL Salam I'll let her know how lucky she is, when I find her ;)
yaaaa allhaaaaaaaaaaaa
i swear i wanted to do the same post next week, but mesh bamyeh ;-) yalla tanshoof meen ashtar :-) 3al 3moom ana ba7eb el mloo'7yh law sama7t, o kobbeh o fatteh kaman, will you cock that for me?? don't forget el khobbeizeh :-) ya neyalhaaa ;-)
I'm the King of molokhyyeh man. My Molokhyyeh is even better then my mother's molokhyyeh (I swear, and not many people would say somehting like that)
As for meen Ashtar, my good friend, this is  not a competition. It's a collaboration, everyone does it for their own good. This is our way of saying NO TO McDonald's and NO to Burger-King and other junk food
As for kobbeh, This one is hard. (really) I will try one day, I'm just not handy with those yet. But insha2allah I will be
Khobbeizeh of course .... :) That's the best thing ever

Here's a nice recipe for Khobbiezeh:
Get 1/2 kilo khobaizeh, clean and ready
1/2 cup Garlic
Cilantro
hot green pepper
Small onion (chopped finely)
--
Heat up some oil, add the garlic, and hot peppers and onion
allow them to get a little red
Add the cilantro ... allow it to get a little soft (just a little bit)
Now Add the coarsely chopped or whole Khobbeizeh and immediately turn the heat off!
stir it a little bit in the pan

Serve with lemon juice :)
Sa7tain
