Happy Ramadan again :)
on a side question, guys abroad go to mosques for ramadan, how do single girls manage there?
Let me tell you this, when I was in Jordan, I barely went to the mosque for Fridays because none of my girl friends encouraged me.. we'd just pray at home.. and I rarely went to the masjid during Ramdan. I find it amazing how I can easily do that over here. I feel so connected to the mosque and haven't missed a day of Tarawee7(in Ramadan) ever since I came (this is my thrid Ramadan abraod). What I love mostly is that I feel more spiritual during Ramadan here because there are no social demands at all. I arrive at the mosque 15 mins before Maghrib, pray(ta7iyet elmasjid), then help in organizing the food on the tables. After that, we break our fast, pray maghrib, then have iftar.
During the time between maghrbi and isha, i sometimes read Quran, or just sit and socialize with my friends and other women around. then we pray esha and tarawee7. It becomes late for me to stay for the short lesson after that so I just go home.
Believe me, girls participate in a lot of activities that have to do with religion and the mosque abroad or, at least from my experience I can say America, than in Jordan.
