If you're a typical Arabic guy like, ehm, yours truly. You would have noticed something. Arab women have really strong personalities. Never mind the common misconception that they're oppressed and what not. Even the most oppressed ones speak louder and get their points, demands and ultimatums across with authority. Just visualize a vocal argument between a man and a woman in the street of any Arab country. True, the woman will be labeled a shrew (at best) and on the spot. But what she says,  will go.

    wo

The way I see it simply is this. Females are in demand. The Arabian woman is more respectfully and diligently sought after. Probably way more than any other race.

Many view this "demand" as a harassment. But if you've lived as much as I have in the west you'll probably notice a glaring fact. A Niqbi woman, Weighing 300 pounds, smelling like a goat, with a 6th grade education, has 19 kids and her husband beats her twice a week. And she STILL has more self esteem than a smart, well educated, pretty, woman that also has a fantastic job and all.

I've seen this first hand. Women in the eastern societies are always in demand. She can be anything she wants from the most religious to the most liberal and still be in demand. Pretty, is beside the point.

All of this demand, and high self esteem leads to confidence and strong personality. Add to that the social boundaries placed on men. And you have a really powerful and a strong personality

I've seen women standing face to face against might soldiers defiant pushing them back and shouting in their faces while men curled up in a little ball shivering in fear.

Alright, what I just said is a generalization. It's not always true. It's really not a fact. And women's personality depends on many factors starting with the place she grew up and ending with the place she continues her life independently. Or not so independently

But wouldn't it be fantastic if all the women had a voice to accurately present their ideas and shout against oppression where ever it may hit?

    lol@dave!
and it would be nice for EVERYONE to have a voice against oppression. but 300 pound niqabi women kick arse!

Hmmm, I don’t know about that Q… how did u really come up with this conclusion?? I’m not really sure, what doeas self esteem had to to with the factors that you just mentioned on that goat woman?? And how exactly can she have more self esteem than a well educated woman? I was a little confused by that statement.
Dave, you'll find your goat woman.. :) Now I know what your mission is in Jordan :)

    Whisperer :) Yep!

    Mazz, Absolutely. x 2

Maioush: Did you miss the part about me making an exaggerated generalization?
