On August....

Many years ago, in August, it was Friday the 13th. And that night I had the worst accident I ever had in my life. It happened in the blink of an eye. Leaving in it's wake a 17 year old young man. Resting, peacefully in the hands of his maker. While I lived after that to continue to suffer the guilt till the last day in my life.

After going to the big house, I finished that summer quarter at school between the looks of pity, and the looks of disgust among my peers in the University. Yet, I was able to successfully finish it. I got the worst grades in my whole educational career that Summer.

Years later, couple of my BEST FRIENDS got married. They were the love birds that everyone secretly coveted. They were pretty, sweet and defied the whole universe to get married. She was christian, he was Muslim but that was no boundary for their love to be consummated with marriage.

That is not the sad part. The sad part was when they broke up, due to evil wishers. They manage to get between the two .. and really tore that family apart. It was one of the saddest Augusts in my life

I continue to wonder what august has in-store for me... I pray that the nasty stuff are over
