Few months back when Qwaider Planet started. I had doubts how it will be received. Or how good it would be. Even more how will it serve people.
The days passed, the hits piled up, even some polls showed that it's being favored by a good number of people. The way it was all designed was the end user in mind. At the same time, I tried to distance my self and my personal opinions regarding content and participant.
You will notice a huge diversity of Arabic culture related blogs, writers and articles. From all possible colors of the rainbow. Exactly the way a free speech promoting service ought to be
One additional thing you will notice is that almost everyone on Qwaider Planet has more traffic, has better indexing and ranking in search engines and most importantly more links in services like Technorati. Every single post gets addition links immediately as it shows on the face of the planet. In addition to doing house keeping jobs like Pinging other sites if there were links to them. Or posting trackbacks if they supported XMLRPC (Wordpress supports it)
The best part is that Qwaider Planet planeteers don't really have to do anything extra for all of this. They just post as they normally do, Qwaider Planet gets their new post. Notifies services like technorati of the new post. Posts it (in chronological order) and makes it available to many people who subscribe to the news feeds (RSS) from the planet.
What's even more exciting about RSS feeds, is that a number of blogs have started adding these to their own pages. They provide tons of value, and easy accessibility to fresh new articles via Qwaider Planet. I am doing this my self, but unlike most blogging software, I also allow this information to be indexed and updated on search engines and services like Technorati. Do you know what's the effect of that? Every single post you make through Qwaider Planet gets, 1 mention from the planet in Technorati, and one mention from my blog. And a mention from all blogs that do the same. Basically giving your posts the spotlight it needs to reach the masses.
Here's an example of a typical Technorati page:

I hope you continue to enjoy Qwaider Planet. And please feel free to contact me if you need anything. Or if you would like to recommend any good blogs out there
The good thing is that no matter how big or small your blog is. No matter how much traffic or ranking you have. You are still getting an additional boost. You're being promoted and given the same chance as the world media. This humble little service that sports 75k hits per day at most does all of this for you.
I'm so excited that Qwaider Planet is playing this role to encourage and promote the Arabic culture world wide. And I hope at the end of the day, everyone will see the value of such a services and others to keep the whole blog-ecosystem vibrant with the Arabic culture
Enjoy the traffic, and thanks to everyone who helped in making all of this such a great experience so far
