Just when I thought things can't get any worse they actually did! Today, a good honorable friend of ours came to work looking like crap, barged into my office and asked for the number of the local Imam. After lengthy talks, turns out, he divorced his wife. And mother of his two daughters!!!

What is this world heading to!? I just can't understand all of this complexity! This couple with their two daughters were the LAST on my mind that would ever separate!

After calming the guy down, turns out, this is the third time he's done this. I was shocked! "You guys have been divorced twice before!!", my mind just failed to comprehend!

Then it struck me!!! This is the third (and final) divorce! It's irreversible now! Oh my god!! What about the two daughters! What about the home!! what about the family!! Oh my god!

What surprises me the most is that there's no way I would have EVER seen this coming! They seemed like the good nice family that you would expect. Everything is good, the husband is great, the wife is fantastic, two great daughters. Everything was catalogue perfect!

Turns out, it was all just a facade! An image, a front for much deeper pain and suffering that no one knew about! All those smiles. All those laughs, all those happy hours. All fake!

It's very obvious to me these days that most homes are hanging by a thread, all on the verge of collapsing, yet they show the image of an impenetrable fortress! How sad is this world when the last stronghold for raising children (the family) is crumbling at such alarming rates.

This whole marriage thing is so scary!

Guys, I'm sorry for competing with Ghrab El bain in bad news department. I hope I'll have more cheerful things to blog about soon!

    Memories....

Yeah, that’s so sad indeed.. god what’s going on?? What’s wrong with everybody these days?? This is just too much bad news ya Q … you know what I’m considering starting a group for people not to get married if this will be the case
    Ya jama3et el 5ear 3aqadtoona mesh heak!!!
Lately there has been lots of competetion for me, thats why I am waiting for knock out post:) Regarding the divorce issue, I think if he was so angry that he couldn't control himself it can be reversed..I consider myself crazy, when I get mad I see white lights and my chain of sanity gets blocked(3agel sal6i)but what we do when I get to that point is both of us(me and my wife) stop talking, at least she can:)Then after two minutes we start laughing and everything goes back to normal..What I don't get is that how can people this old and who have kids get to the point of no return!I have known my wife for almost 4 years before we got married, she knows exactly what makes me mad and I know exactly what makes her happy and from there anything can be solved..
And by the way people shouldnt get married before they know each other VERY WELL, when a guy is looking for "traditional" marriage he should ask about the family and specially the MOM, and what role does the father play in the family, if you find them compatible to your "culture" go ahead, if not STOP..
It seems that your friends have been in a slumber for a long time, and now--just now they decide to open their eyes?? well, I personally think that after two kids, they had to continue their slumber forever!!
Whisperer. I'm sorry I shared the story. I hope you don't mind. As you can see most people are sympathetic and hope for the best. Beside the Imam is probably going to give you some good news

r we talking here about the same angry husband, friend of urs with the new blog thingy???

well, as for me, i donto wanna pretend in front of ppl to be happy while i am not!! why would i care of what others think or say about me...that is number one.
then, if he has been in this marraige that long, then he should be mature enough to know exactly where this will lead him...unless he was so angry to the point that he divorced her adn then this can be resolved, i guess by imam,inshalla....
    allah yl3an el 3'adab we sa3toh!!!

samer, donot worry, bro, not all marriages r the same, take it from me, each one is totally different from the other....it has alot of factors especially ppl involved and natures...so take it easy dear and dnot be harsh on ur self....

As for unmarried ppl..hang in there and learn positive things from this experience....we can always learn from someone else's mistakes to improve our own behaviors!!!
i donot wanna sound like a teacher here, but it is not always black or white in this life!!!
    peace to all....
No Afaf, actually these are two different people. In this one, it's our friend who actually went ahead and did it. As for angry husband .. he didn't do it yet... Inshallah he won't ... Pray for them ..And for their poor children

For the love of god..enough divorce stories Qwaider where you ache for the kids!
    2ata3t 2alby..
    Bgad..kfaya..
I agree very sad thing ! the thing that caught my mind was that they worked hard on keeping up the appearance of happiness ! I would bet that they would have been better off working this hard on their relationship, so sad that our society cares more what people think than what they want and need !
