Many people fall in love. Or at least they think that they're falling in love. But how much are they willing to sacrifice for that love? How much are they willing to take from the person they think they love? How far would they go before looking at that very person and protesting

Unconditional love is one of those terms that have been over publicised in the the media, TV shows, movies, novels and even among regular people. Most if not all probably don't know what this unconditional love entails.

The idea that you can just love someone regardless of what they do sounds absurd at times. How could you love someone who treats you badly? or beats you! Or cheats on you. How about someone who prefers others over you. Or harms you in any way, shape or form. Would you still love them?

Some forms of love are in fact unconditional, and they're abundant. You can see them in the way the baby looks at his mother as she nurses him. You can see it in most mothers as they tend to their infants. Mostly among parents and children. Simply because we hurt our parents the most while growing up. Look at the infant, he tears his mother apart and almost kills her but she -mostly- welcomes the baby with open heart, arms and a smile

The word unconditional has many dimensions. The implications are so vast, that it shouldn't be used lightly. It's similar to the word "taking people for granted [part1 | part2]" Which I view as the highest level of love and trust among people

What's your breaking point? What would limit love to "love unless"? Or in other words, from unconditional to conditional? I guess, every person sets his own.

    Memories....

All love is conditional, even the love of the mother to her child... Well, if he wasn't her child would she love him?! So its obvious that a mother loves a child on the condition that he is her own child!!

Also, when you love someone, thats a condition. You don't love everyone, you love someone in particular - thats conditional love!!

The concept of unconditional love is the most stupid I ever heard of. When someone loves another, there are certain properties of that other person that causes the love. Once those properties vanish, that love expires.

I agree with Devil's Mind that all love is conditional...
love is conditioned with the very notion of love itself.
    mm..
this was on my mind for soem times...
What is commonly known as love (like when some one loves another) is more like searching for self appreciation through others...
2amma true love is when some one loves the other really... regardless of anything... and with no return.. and caring for the other's happiness regardless of one's own reward...
I know it sounds very impossibly idealistic but this is what i believe loooooool
and i guess this is an attitude NO ONE in middle east deserves... i say middle east coz this is the area i experienced and i can be firm when i say this... other parts of world may be even worse...
