If there is anything that makes me lose interest in a product, it would most likely be bad sales representatives. And customer service that stupify their customers. If I'm about to spend cash on your worthless, over priced product that I don't even need. Show me couple of things. Genuine interest in selling or in other words enthusiasm and respect to my wishes as a consumer.

Nothing kills a sale for me more than a bad service. Especially when I'm at a store where I KNOW I can get the same product online for much cheaper price and I might also not pay any taxes while doing so.

No wonder people are flocking to online sites to do their purchases. In fact, I made way more purchases online than I have in store over the past 7 or eight years at a ratio of at least 10 to 1 and so far have been very happy with the results.

What these sales representatives fail to understand is that their days are numbered, and with growing automation, their jobs are going away, replaced by automation and cheaper processes. What they also need to realize is that there are some consumers that know way more about the products and the technologies than they do. For a smart repressive it's not about ego and maintaining face. It's about making a sale and keeping the stupid or smart customer happy while taking their money

Nothing spells disrespect more than looking weird at the customer as if they're coming from another planet, and stressing on weird parts like "requires Credit card". A person would think what's the big deal? These days almost all teenage kids have credit cards especially here in the west. It's a non issue! But as people start thinking they're superior to their "stupid" customers and start disrespecting the guy with the money. They start losing sales and worse ... business!

I've witnessed many companies demise. And can say with a lot of confidence that these were among the common factor that pushes customers away. Especially when their competition is practically bending over backwards to cater for their every whim

Anyway ... I'm staying away from Sears for now

    Qwaider,
contact the managment, I have heard good stories about sears when you escalate the thing, and by the way maybe you will get a gift card;)
Frankly, I'm not interested in benefiting from this whole affair. It was an impulse buy and I lost interest!
