Shrek the 3rd (2007)

One of the most anticipated movies of the year has finally made it's debut, and even though I got to see it, few hours ahead of the rest of the world. It kept to it's original promise, it delivered high marks on laughter. But the big question is .. did it remain faithful to the legacy of the two predecessors?

7.0/10 on the Qwaider scale

So the old gang is back. Shrek, Cat, Donkey, Fiona. All living happily ever after in "Far Far Away" land (not to be confused with and far away)

This time they're all looking for a new king. They travel far to find this king. Meanwhile, Prince charming is up to his same old tricks, trying to take advantage of Shrek's absence to take over the kingdom.

The movie is funny, and it sure is a lot of fun for the whole family. With a ton of hidden jokes for Adults

Couple of things I didn't like. First, when they encourage kids to ask "Where do babies come from" (and they stress on that, and repeat it several times) This will put many parents in an awkward situation. The second is the explicit promotion of a cross dresser. Another awkward moment for the parents.

As I said, the movie is funny and has it's moments. But fails in comparison to it's predicessors.
