(i dont know about the viewed peice of info) and consider the title "this day last year" because "on this day" doesnt cut it, and putting it on the side bar like suggested would make it go unnoticed
PS. the snapshot component is buggy, i tried disabling it, it never gets disabled!

And by the way, this is not something that I just "plug" into my blog, I had to write the code to do it ... (and that doesn't mean copying and pasting the code either)
Next, there are two other people who write or used to write here. So ... That field stays
As for "this day last year" that doesn't work either, because it shows all the articles on the date of the article you're reading. Which means Other articles in the same day from 1year, 2 year (when we have 2 years) and Today will show in that list
It stays in the middle because I don't want it to go unnoticed :)

"this day last year" doesnt cut it, bass "on the same date of this article" is 3ajga, and its not right either, u know that "date" indicates a full date (1/1/2005), while "day" is only month/date (4/4), maybe a shorter one would do: "same day"? or maybe u can make a large title holding the date like "On July 5" and insert the year with each item, that would be tremendous clutter-cutter,
this is a good idea to show everything on a particular day, (although the smart code would at least exclude "most recent posts day" since those already got attention on the home page)
as for two liners, they are less clutter and better readability, you dont have to decrease the font size, or just decrease the spaces between lines, bendabboo 3ala ba3ad, they get higher focus.
and i never even implied that u "plugged it" although there is a wordpress plugin for that :) oh wait, this aint wordpress? HAAA! (sucking air up) did u build the engine urself? oh wait, this is ASP? HAAA! i just realized that :D
Dont get this "i hate quality ppl" syndrome (as a developer i know what it is) but this is like my most favorite subject! I code PHP, its been a while since ive done it but i recently hooked up again, my blog is wordpress but i 3ajanto 3ajen to get it to act like I want, and i recently added a home-made gadget myself :) its called REELS... check it out.
