    Yes :) ... Tara
Yeah Yeah .. now you are showing us the house :D … ma a7la el nadafeh ya jama3a LOOOOOOOOOOOOL…
    8 remotes??? Ya lahwi!!!
man why don't you get a universal remote ? we have one and I LOVE IT.

    It controls the following:
    DVD Player
    TV
    Stereo
PS3 (just turn on and off)
    the sound system
    the satellite receiver.

    All in one amazing remote.

By the way, we have that phone :)
OH and I forgot, it also controls the MP3 player
7aki... Just would like to draw your attention that 5 of the remotes you see are actually universal remotes :) I just haven't got to programming them yet ;-)
And I have a 15 device universal remote on order, it just didn't arrive yet :)

jayyeh tbee3ee may fi 7aret el sa22ayeen  LOL!
lol, 5 uni remotes...lol, tab how many gadgets you have , ya waraadiiiii.

so five uni. remotes kinda defeat the purpose of the idea of universal

Wow, Qwaider, I am amazed...don't marry a blonde, it will take her the first year of marriage to understand all those remotes (teasing, sorry all blondes, takes one to know one!). Nice house, too, and VERY cute dog!!
I have a very similar situation at home. OR I should say HAD. as I found a very useful solution that made this a whole lot easier (and uses a whole lot less batteries).

something even better Q ,,, an LCD programmable remote control ... that thing is sick ....

i have similar situation TV, SAT, DVD, AC, Stereo, Cordless Telephone, Mobile Phone 1, Mobile Phone 2 ... in addition to tissue box water bottle and car keys .. i have one hell of a crowded coffee table ... i cant even put coffee on it i have another one for that ...
I really hope the 30 minutes was a figure of speech! Whenever I don't find a remote I'll just go to the device ... couch potatoing?

.. if only I could get my hands on that remote control in Click :(

Do the remotes control the ceiling fan, lighting and binds?  Or are there separate remotes for those?

7bait the room :) but hey, I thought you quit smoking ;)
    7aki
    You didn't see the ones I didn't display :(

    Roba
Thanks :), yeah she's very cute

    Kinzi
Too bad, I love blonds :(. But you know what that might be an advantage ... "don't touch the remote honey"

    Sari
Sounds like a good solution :)

    Isam
I've had an LCD programmable remote for almost 7 years now. But here's the catch. The surface is so smooth you really don't know where to press (after a while you become accustomed to the remote and press correctly without looking) with LCD remote, you have to look! :(

    Who-Sane
Trust me, it was not ... it 's so confusing. Every remote has a volume up and down on it .. so which one controls what!?

    Luai
No, those all have separate remotes. From X10 (which also makes universal remotes, but thiers' are ugly)

    Saned
I'm glad you liked it. I did quit smoking. I didn't smoke Hookah even before I stopped smoking cigarettes. I'm just not a hookah person

    I like dogs!
Universal remotes are useless because all you are doing is switching between the 5-10 remotes with-in 1 device.

Intelligent remotes that automate tasks are the way of the future.

ya3ni, instead of switching to the TV mode, and changing to HDMI, then to HT and going to AV2, then turning on your HD-DVD player, then switching back to HT to play with the volume or surround settings. What you do is this.

You program this whole thing into the intelligent remote, and assign it the name "Watch HD-DVD", so when you click that button everything is set the way you like it, PLUS the volume buttons, channel buttons ...etc are assigned the way you like as well. So Play, Pause, FF ..etc will still control the HD-DVD player, and volume+ - will control the HT.

    Check it out.

You know, I actually played with couple of remotes that simulated these "control phrases", but again, I was frustrated with the result.
I am using it at home, and once you get past the initial programming learning curve, you will be amazed with the results. I only have this one single remote on my coffee table now and I use it for everything, including my AC.
My satellite receiver has a unique RF signal, none of the other remotes has the capability to do that.
X10 Also has RF Signals .. and almost no other remote has that capability... so back to square one

    i found Tara :)
or Tara's behind to be more accurate...
    I MISS AFKA7
You just drive up the price for your intended remote control solution ... to the crazy $400 price range.

I am not sure if I personally am prepared to pay this kind of money for this ... RF sucks!
    Faten H
I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said, that my Tara has been better to me than many people I know

    Sari
Yeah, I know... But RF is awesome. It penetrates walls, you don't need line of sight and is not affected by direct sunlight. It's fantastic. And comes FREE with DishNetwork receivers (which are also universal remotes). X10 has the same thing. But their RF is not compatible with other RF ...
