Just to prove that the artist is never limited by his tools

Check out this video for a master artist using windows paint to draw Leonardo Da Vince's masterpiece the Mona Lisa in 2H30 minutes to the tunes of "The Matrix Reloaded" the highway chase scene

    via Rebellious Arab Girl

It just amazes me how the result of some paint, some brushes and few inches of canvas can be worth its weight a million times more in gold.

It's just like a computer with a novel printed on it. The computer might be worth couple of thousand dollars, but the novel might be worth millions (or nothing, but that's besides the point)

How the human mind can wield these simple tools and come out with something that is worth way more than the sum of it's part is just mind boggling (or mind bottling, according to Well Farrel in "Blades of Glory")

It also proves that art, is the ultimate non-causal system. (Which is what the Merovingian kept talking about in the Matrix ... Coincidence?)

    Enjoy

    Memories....

whoa!!!!! that IS something! and no i dont think its a coincidence lol remember, nothing in life is :D
I do agree that this is quite impressive. But it does not prove that an artist is not limited by tools, it proves that are expecting tools to do everything for us.

I mean this is a program that lets you choose any color you want, erase anything with no trace, copy and paste, and choose any brush size/shape you like. This is a great tool.

If this person could get this result from a program that allows one size brush, erasing capabilities similar to a canvas, and 16 colors. That would prove that an artist is not limited by his tools.

Who knows... It's a much deeper thought.

You know my friend, many people would say that Windows Paint (a descendant of a very old tool called PaintBrush, that introduced the PCX format for bitmap images) anyway, this 20 something year old tool is really out of touch with the real world and nothing less than Photoshop would do...
Apparently someone managed to prove that it's doable.
Now what would have Leonardo done if he had all this power at his fingertips!! Ahhhh ...

    Thanks
