What part of "busy" don't you understand?

How many of you out there dread the act of signing-in to MSN? The second I sign, I get bombarded from 70 different angles. Questions, requests, complaints, nags, boring self(ish) trivia so much to the point that recently haven't been even showing up online.

Don't get me wrong, I love interacting with people. I love talking to them, chatting in all possible ways. But like everyone, I get busy too. And might not be in the mood to talk or listen to someone blabber about their school issues. Life matters, whatever problems.

Especially in the precious moments that I have when I go home late at night, tired, stressed and drained seeking a bite, some relaxing time in front of a TV to allow my mind to wind down and get ready to hit the sack and just relax

But apparently that's too much to ask. Some people seem to enjoy aggravating me. Even after I make it absolutely clear, that I am tired, wasted and totally not in a mental shape to allow me to comfort others or even listen. Even after making all of that CLEAR, the discussion goes on either on the Phone or SMS and drags on and on, leaving me with guilt that I clearly expressed my position or my feelings

You know what? I shouldn't feel guilty. I want... No, I demand my alone time! I need it. I just need it! My mind needs to really charge. This takes time. My body needs to recharge, this also takes time. I need time to practice my hobbies, pay attention to my blog (which is a 4 fold problem, Read, Respond, write and maintain the server code). I need time to cook my own food. I need time to clean my house. I need time to watch my favorite shows.

Bottom line, I NEED my alone time. It's not a luxury, I shouldn't be begging for it. I should have it, because I really need it

So next time someone tells you they're busy, respect it.

Oh I know what you are talking about. The Appear Offline option is such a pleasure :P

People are always sending me whether I am Away or Busy. I really do not have to actually be Away or Busy, like you said, I might simply not be in the mood to chat :D And people should respect that.

Chill out, and yes you deserve your ALONE time, so do not feel guilty about it ;)

Yes.. I agree & I don't chat people when their status is busy it's something should be respected. I think there is etiquette for chatting, it does not mean if X online he is available all the time to talk. I prefer the sign in Skype.. Please DON'T DISTURB.

lool I am joking.. but I have been wondering where you been.. just appear offline on msn and talk to people you want to talk to if you are ever in the mood..

Plus you have time to post on your blog! So you got some free time.. hehehehe :P

Yeah, I have time to post, because I want to consider it as part of my life to do so. It's part of my alone time. Alone with my pen writing what's on my mind. Its almost therapeutic. I'm sure you know what I mean

Yeah, that's pretty much it, if you throw in there "visiting friends" and "getting groceries" and "going to movies" you end up with a pretty tight schedule

Qwaider I think there's an option that makes you appear offline but still you can chat to people you want.. your status would be offline though!!! The other day my friend was using it... you'd appear offline to all and no one can bother you.. yet you can chat with the xxx freely ;)

Tomorrow, only to family
During the day, only to Coworkers
At night only to Hot Chicks ;)
