Myth: No one is beyond redemption

I know many have said, that "No one is beyond redemption". But I find that as a complete and utter delusion.

Some people are a lost cause, a waste of time and money and better yet, they ENJOY doing this, this is what kills me. They ENJOY being the social pests that they are, they enjoy being a liability to the society. Not because they really can't cope, but because they're mentally ill.

I think, some mentally deranged people are similar to terminally ill people. But at least, terminally ill people try to seek out help, these people don't!

So What is "Cutting"?

Cutting: Self Injury (SI) or Self-harm (SH) is deliberate injury inflicted by a person upon his or her own body. Some scholars use more technical definitions related to specific aspects of this behavior. These acts may be aimed at relieving otherwise unbearable emotions, sensations of unreality and numbness. Self-injury is generally considered a social taboo.

Some of the inmates were using tools and box cutters, knives, screwdrivers and even paper to cut themselves. Some would cut themselves so deep the bone would show.

Even worse, they would cut themselves in a zigzag double cuts so that the surgeons can sew them up. That's very disturbing, just imagine doing it to your own self

Some people say that these are sick people and are in need of a treatment. I would understand if any one of them seeks this treatment, but in these cases of self euthanasia, I think, better them than the gene pool. If someone is so bent on hating their own self and their own skin and is repeatedly attempting to hurt themselves, I say, just let them go ahead and do it! Leave them, if they want to die, let them die!

Would I have the same feelings if it was someone I care about or love that is doing all of this? Maybe, I really don't know. I would try councelling them to a point but after that. They're on their own.

I think, there will come a time in the human future, when the population of people on Earth is going to far exceed the resources. And people will be encouraged to euthanize. Not only that, but these cases will be welcome and if these people want to be put down, they're put down. We're going to be so busy as a civilization to look back. We will be less tolerant, and less willing to help. I think at some point anything that will generate less humans will become a good thing. It will be a very dark and scary vision of the future. And the only way out will be the expansion outward from this planet to other planets and galaxies and creation of permanent human settlements on other worlds

So to conclude, back to the original idea. If someone is really convinced that they need to hurt themselves. I think we should let them. This is the point I'm getting to. Let them, and don't interfere with them afterwards. If they want to perform self surgery, let them ..  If this is going to help them psychologically, then good. If not and they die. That's one less social liability off my tax dollars!
