Half a million and still going strong

Qwaider planet

4 months ago, sometime around November, I decided to start a community service and called it Qwaider planet. Today, Qwaider planet doesn't even show signs of slowing down ... in fact, it's growing everyday, adding quality blogs from all over the world, that relate to the Arab culture. You don't even need to be an Arab to join.

So what about the half a million thing!?

Early this week, Qwaider planet hit a major milestone, 500,000 impressions. In 4 months only Qwaider planet reached 1/2 a million hits coming from 52,000 different users. And last night, alone the number of hits was, brace your self, 15,050 in one single day. And this is not a one time thing, in fact the highest number of hits per a single day was in January 13th with +18,000 hits. Pretty cool if you ask me

At peak hours, I've seen number of online users reaching 170 and I'm sure at times more.

The whole idea behind Qwaider planet is to bring fresh content, to your desktop, but that's not all. Qwaider planet, caches these articles and allows you to search through them. all 6500 articles going all the way back to March 2005

Another thing to keep in mind is that Qwaider planet is designed with the reader and the writer in mind. For the reader. A single click connects you to the articles you like, and Qwaider planet is out of you way .. and out of your hair. And from a writer's point of view, only an excerpt is showing to encourage people to go and visit the blow owner. And interact with them. Maybe leave comments or read other articles.

Qwaider planet will continue to evolve, just this week it received a new face-lift, with lavender tones, other enhancements are also on the way.
