Angels or demons?

It's no simple feat to put up an angelic facade, some people will be branded as demons on sight. You know who I'm talking about. Those alluring people who just take what ever they want from you while you're smiling for hours after that. And then....... It hits you!

You'll think... Shoot! That wasn't a good deal at all! How did I fall for that! why did I allow that person to exploit/manipulate me like that!? How did it happen! and sometimes your eyes widens, you gasp for air and you look yourself in the mirror and go... Oh ... My ... God!

Yes, it happened to all of us, some people just seem to thrive on it, they just waltz in a place, and they suddenly own it.

We're fooled by the allure of these people to really make concessions that we wouldn't normally, uninfluenced do. Why? it's all in our heads!

That's it, it's ALL in the head! Our brains have a capacity for processing so much information from so many different stimuli all simultaneously and independently. But at the site of some people, smell or even sound certain chemicals influence and cloud our reasoning and judgement. We end up following sheepishly towards some very unpleasant results

Once that influence subsides, we regain rational thinking and start to regret certain things we've done, things we've said, but in the heat of that moment. We were just too absent to realize the harm we're doing to ourselves.

Once we sober up, and realize the damage, we tend to blame our selves, and we should. Since our brains should never check-out the minute that cute blond walks into the office. Or when that dark hunk passes by.

With time, these individuals start to realize their effects on people. They start to notice that they really can get things, get away with things or simple just manipulate others the way they like. That's when some would turn evil and start putting their skills/looks/allure to their own benefit. As they become more and more proficient with their new found power, and only more and more innocent/naive people suffer the dreadful "Oh... My ... god"

We all need to learn to rise above the influence. Is there an easy way? I don't think so, but remember that little ticking sound in the back of your head that keeps repeating "don't do it" ... "Don't do it" ... we should sometimes, listen to it and really .. not do it

As for demons, they'll continue to roam these lands, among us, just getting away with everything .. as usual
