الاسماء... ذلك العالم الواسع الرحب من المعاني الغريبة، لطالما احببته .. يثير في استمتاع غريب.. لا اعرف سببه.. احاول هنا ان اجمع بعض الاسماء و مقابلاتها بالعربية و الانجليزية و بعض قصصها.. و بعض تحاويرها. و اعذروني لن استطيع ذكرها كلها.. فلا يعلمها كلها الا الله. لكن احب و استمتع جدا بها

بدون اطالة .. اليكم الاسماء... بعض قصصها و معانيها

سارة... يعد من اكثر الاسماء شيوعا عند كل الاديان السماوية، فهي زوجة خليل الرحمن ابراهيم عليه السلام
ابراهيم.. و تعني الاب للكثير. فقد كان بدون ولد و يسمى ابرام (اب للا احد) و بعد ان رزقه الله بأسماعيل و اسحاق.. صار ابراهيم Abraham. و هو اول من اختتن من الرجال
اسحاق (Issac) و هو ابن ابراهيم الثاني من زوجته الاولى ابن السيدة سارة و ابو يعقوب و العيص (و يعرف ايضا بـ"عيسو") و زوجته رفقة
هاجر.. زوجة سيدنا ابراهيم و ام اسماعيل(كانت جارية سارة التي اهداها لها ملك مصر بعد ان دارت بينهم قصة غريبة حيث انه حاول الاستحواذ على سارة الجميلة فلم يستطع.. نهايته اعطاهم هدايا و رحلو). و تدور قصة الصفا و المروة حولها و حول رضيعها اسماعيل. و هاجر اول من ثقبت اذنيها في التاريخ و اول من مارست ختان الاناث. تلبية لندر سارة التي ندرت ان تقطّع ثلاث قطع من جسد هاجر
اسماعيل (و تعني سمع الرب، فقد كان اول اولاد ابراهيم و انجبه عن عمر يقارب ال92 سنة). و إسماعيل شخص مهم في التاريخ العربي بالذات، فهو ابو العرب المستعربة و من سلالته سيدنا محمد عليه الصلاة و السلام. كما انه اول من هجّن و ركب الخيل في التاريخ. استوطن الجزيرة العربية في منطقة مكة التي ازدهرت بعد نبوع الماء من بئر زمزم. طرده ابوه مع امه هاجر تلبية لرغبة سارة. (اي من اجل سارة، حاول قتل اسماعيل، و طرده و امه، و قطع من امه ثلاث قطع من لحمها)
رفقة (Rivkah او Rifka) عند اليهود و (Rebecca) عند المسيحيين. زوجة اسحق، و ام العيص و يعقوب.و ابنة بتوئيل(ابن اخ ابراهيم) و اخت لابان. كانت تحب يعقوب اكثر من اخيه فمكرت له ليأخذ البركة من ابيه ثم وصته ان يتزوج بنات خاله
يعقوب ويعرف ايضا بـ إسرائيل (Jacob). ابن اسحق و ابو الاسباط و له زوجتين و عبدتين انجب منهم 12 ولدا. ويقال انه سمّي يعقوب لأنه عندما و لد كانت يده مقبوضة.
راحيل - راشيل(Rachel) زوجة يعقوب الثانية و كان مهرها ان يعمل لدى والدها سبع سنين على اساس ان يزوجه بها. لكن والدها(خاله لابان) خدعه(ما كان في ضواو على ايامهم) و زوجه ليئه. فاضطر للعمل سبع سنين اخرى ليتزوجها
ليئة (Leah ) اخت راحيل و زوجة يعقوب و ام لسته من ابنائه
روبين Robin اول ابناء يعقوب. و اسم احد انهار في شمال يافا
شمعون او سمعون و فيما بعد سايمون (Simon) و تعني سمع الرب احد ابناء يعقوب
لاوي (Levi) او ليڤي شبيه بماركة الجينز الشهيرة .. احد ابناء يعقوب و اب احد الاسباط

Absolutely, it's very fascinating for me. I just love the history behind names and how the names morph in other languages and dialects

True! I am always interested in knowing meanings and history of names. Though my name is not widely used, resembles uniqueness, I am always proud to tell people that it is mentioned in the Qur’an, and that I was named after a Syrian woman martyr who was murder a couple of days before my birth. However, after coming to the States, I faced a problem with Americans pronouncing my name; they just ruin it completely! :D

Interesting, what's your source ? I could not find the meaning o my name, I know it was mentioned in the bible, if you can that would be great I can finally answer that question, what does your name mean?

Tamara, my source currently is memory. But I keep checking to see that what I'm writing is actually in line with the stories
As for Tamara, I'm not sure I've seen it in biblical stories anywhere. But I'll keep an eye for you

وردي على الأخت التي لم تحب ذكر اسمها ان هذا اجتهادي و رأيي الشخصي و الدليل الآية:{فَبَشَّرْنَاهُ بِغُلَامٍ حَلِيمٍ * فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ السَّعْيَ قَالَ يَابُنَيَّ إِنِّي أَرَى فِي الْمَنَامِ أَنِّي أَذْبَحُكَ فَانْظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَى قَالَ يَاأَبَتِ افْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ سَتَجِدُنِي إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مِنَ الصَّابِرِينَ}
فالواضح ان الله لم يامره بذبح اسماعيل انما هو تأويله لحلم! لكن الله افتدى اسماعيل
و الحلم قد يكون وحي او لا. كما ان زوجة زنانة اسوأ من حلم

I was going to object to the way you said that for the Sake of Sara Ibrahim was going to kill his son. Someone did already. First Prophets do not dream like the rest of the human beings. Please Sheikh Q. :D do not give us your interpretation into what the Quran has said and group Prophets (ma3somoon)like the rest of human beings. If it was his interpretation, then Why Allah has sent the Ram? What ever happened to the rest of the verse that said "An Ya Ibrahim Qad Saddaqta Al ro'ya? Suppose Ibrahim's interpretation was wrong and Allah did not send the Ram, what would Ibrahim be? a Murderer?

well, he lied three times according to Quran. he doubted god even though he was supposed to be a believer. and he asked his son if he agrees to the sacrifice, implying doubt as well. the true miracle was isma3il complying. that's the true miracle.
and please don't mock others because they have different ideas or intrepetations. the Quran said all bani adam are sinners. did it say except prophets? so please don't preach me. i know my religion very well

I am not doubting that you know your religion, but not correctly. If Ibrahim lies (m3ath Allah) in those matters, then he could lie for other matters. I was not preaching you. I was correcting you.

You're incorrect in your assumptions my friend ..
Ibrahim lied when:
When he said he was ill.
Then when he said the Big idol destroyed the other ones. And that was a flat out lie.
He lied when they went to one of the ancient philistines and he said Sarah is his sister and not his wife. (Not only that he asked Sarah to lie for him too)
(and by the way, that's a Hadith and was told by Abu Huraira)

Again you are incorrect of understanding the verse regarding the big idol. He did not say the Big Idol did it? He was trying to convey a message to them. When asked who did it, then he told them:"Why do not you ask the big idol". He did not Explicitly said “He did it”. I do not see a lie here by pointing their ignorance and falsehood. I do not know where your sources for the other lies. I know in the Islamic literature their are many "Israelites". Even some prominent scholars have fallen in quoting those israelites.

I know that but does not pertain to Prophets when conveying religious matters. It is regarding WORDLY matters. By your logic, Quran encourages lies? Since Prophet Ibrahim did it, then why anyone can not? ALL what is revealed on the prophet is from “Wa7hi”. In howa illa Wa7hyon you 7ha”.

Try to learn how to debate without attacking people. You loose. There is a difference between Lying and making a mistake (error in judgment). What Prphet Mousa did is when he was young (Before he was a Prophet. Oh, by the way, you do not know me to call me ignorant. يعني الذكر من التوأم الأول تزوج الانثى من التوأم الثاني.. و هكذا
