This is one of the most touching realistic low budget independent social melodramas I've ever seen. It talks about matters near and dear to all of us. How a couple meet, grow apart, and separate into their own ways.

    At the door scene

Critics have slammed this movie, but I think it's unfair, the movie is smart, fascinating, and very realistic. and for that it will receive a decent 7.0/10 on the Qwaider scale
(already released in NY and LA, Seattle on Friday Jan 12th and elsewhere later)

We had a lovely organic Q & A session with Jeff Lipsky the writer/director of the movie. Where he went over fantastic internal details and how his dream of releasing the unedited version (3.5 hours) for people to enjoy.

The movie is extremely subtle and very quite, you can notice that they really had to work on a very tight budget, and given all of that they came out with very compelling story of romance, love, relationships, breakups, recovery and the whole social interaction between couples.

The movie has full frontal nudity of both it's main characters, Julianne Nicholson(Nicole) and Justin Kirk (Stuart) and many heated romantic interaction between the two.

The movie is literally filled with hidden a very subtle hints for things that change in a couple's life. For example, there is one scene where Stuart manipulates Nicky to undress in front of their 36 floor high apartment, few months later, he gets into their bedroom, and shuts the curtains. I guess you still can teach an old dog a trick or two

The interesting part is that you really can't sympathise with either characters since they both do good and bad things at the same time, but apparently the sympathy is more directed towards the fantastic guy who does everything to this drowning in debt girl with her screwed up family.

Jeff (the writer/director) said that the story is pretty much autobiographical to his marriage, no wonder there was a huge level on sincerity in it and realism.

I think it's worth watching, and is genuinely touching, don't miss out on it.

OOOHHHHHHHHHHH, I'll take a look, especially that it has nudity :-)

I am seeing the documentary Encounter Point tonight.  "If you lost your loved ones to violence, if you spent ten years in prison, if conflict drove you from your home... Would you seek revenge? Or struggle for peace? A true story about the everyday leaders who refuse to sit back as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict escalates."
