I talk to anyone, and I discover, it's not all that great for them. Some blame it on being Female, some blame it on male dominated societies. Some find that women have it all easy. Some even are asking for rights equal to women. And I really can't but wonder, is it really hard to be human these days?

People from all walks of life complain, some complain none-stop. But while I was visiting a married friend of mine, he explained how life is really tough for a head of a household here in Jordan. His lovely wife doesn't work.

He explained that the responsibilities and duties never end. The requirements of house, school and children never stop. And they all had to get by on what he makes.

So I turned to the lovely wife and asked what she's doing, I know she had a degree in Accounting since we used to go to the same university. I also exclaimed why she has not continued her career. I wasn't really surprised when she said, it's better to stay home, but I was surprised for her reasons. She went on and on about disadvantages of work for her (apparently she's 100% convinced) I wasn't all too convinced even when she mentioned harassment (as my friend sat there nodding in disappointment)

She left for a minute and he frankly told me that he almost took his licensed pistol and shot the person who attempted the harassment when his wife offered to quit and stay home.

He looked at me with a sad look on his face and said, "I wish I was a woman". I laughed, and I said "me too". The wife came in exclaiming the reason for our laughter, we started saying that we wished we were women. And right then.... she blew a fuse... and went on STEAMING about how hard it is to be a women. While we lowered our ears and tucked our tails in fear of her throwing that hot tea at us while she was giving off her speech.

We all looked at each other and I said, "God it's so hard to be just human these days" and they both nodded and their little son, came in and grabbed his mommy because he needs to go pee-pee. She looked at  me and said, "Shayef!!"(See!!)

She left and we looked at each other, and both agreed that, it's hard to be man or a woman. There isn't an easy life, and both suffer (almost) as much.

No one said life is easy .. we all want it easy .. and I am the first on the list to want so .. but the thing is .. if we did not earned our living .. then we probably wont feel and taste it the same .. we will be indifferent .. hardwork and pain is part of our human memory .. we simply cannot be a full human without it ..
