Hi folks, I'm trying to get my folks (in Amman) connected to high speed Internet

    Any suggestions?

Think about it  for price, performance, reliability ...etc

    Which one would you recommend??

I can say .. stay away from Wanadoo .. I am connected DSL through them  .. and they are WAY TOO SLOW ..
    Qwaider,

3endy packet8 ($40 with $40 mail in rebate) and $19.99/month. Activate it here and send it back home, betseer kol mokalamat to and from the US for free.

    Peace
Check with Al Etasalat..when i lived in amman almost 3 1/2 years ago we had their service and it was good.
    Thanks Danah.
Palforce, I have broadvoice, and they're fantastic, 9.99 a month
Summer, thanks for the tip, I'll check, actually one of my university colleagues works there. So it should be easy to ask her about their pros and cons
I wrote a blog about it in last January:
    http://arrabi.blogspot.com/2006/01/choosing-dsl-provider-in-jordan.html

I've heard that TED is pretty good now.
    Thanks Arrabi that's awesome.
Yeah, I keep hearing that Arrabi. But I don't know if I should just go ahead and make the leap of faith. Remember I'm not going to be there to help them
I have TEData, but I think I'm the only one that isn't happy with them.  The service is really spotty-- often it doesn't work.  They blame it on the old telephone lines in the neighborhood, but the phone company says the lines are fine and blame it on the service provider.  I don't know...
Hey Rebecca, Thanks for your feedback
If you're suffering from frequent disconnects, it's likely a problem in the older wire system. But if your connection is up AND you're not getting services then it's likely your ISP
Well I use Wanadoo, they are pretty good but I'm no IT person so let us know if you do a research of the providers : )
Tedata is the way to go, I won't get into my reasons, but, I'll certainly recommend them. And, hope their QOS doesn't change with the rise of the subscribers, - but so far, they've been perfect. You'll certainly have a trouble free connection. I haven't called them a single time since I've subscribed, but, I've called JTC for their part of disconnections.
I got all the phone numbers from Arrabi's site (thanks again Arrabi) I'll call and see

TEData, my residence's cheap-ass-owner switched to wanadoo for the cheaper offer and now we suffer from disconnects and shit
