I am just a humble Internet user who's been using and enjoying this medium for many years. I still remember the days when emails used to have a "!" instead of a "@" sign. I've seen many hypes come and go, many technologies and many achievements. I hope this qualifies me to pass judgement on Internet services.
One of the most notable services in Jordan is Jordan Planet. A really simple and very creative aggreggator that has been plagued with many problems over the year or so that I've been following it.
Jordan Planet uses an application called "Drupal" to aggregate the articles from many sources. The good thing about this approach is that the articles are continuously collected and posted in chronological order. And keeps you up to date on blogs that have subscribed to their service.
After starting Qwaider Planet, I can authoritatively say it's not an easy job. It requires a lot of maintenance, monitoring and follow up. Jordan Planet has been accused in the past of having many shortcoming. Yet, it sits on the throne of Jordanian aggregators with absolutely best in class service despite its many shortcomings.
Many have voiced concern over Qwaider planet/ Jordan Planet competition. In my view there is no competition. The two services target different audiences and although it shares many blogs in between, it still not a direct competition. Think of the two as sister services. Complementing each other.
There was a void that Jordan Planet doesn't target. And therefore I'm trying to fill that gap, especially on the new and promising bloggers. I do realise that I'm taking quite a gamble on new(er) bloggers, yet. I totally believe that it's worth it.
I'm happy to give kudos to the amazing efforts. And applaud the new changes, and the greater speed at which new bloggers are added. Really well done all, keep it up, you're doing a fantastic job.
PS... When creating a service, the persons requesting addition, and their views should not be measured by owners standards. This is what I learned in the West, I might not like the person, or their writings, but this is NOT grounds to deny them service. We should all try to harbor diversity and tolerance toward others ideas. This is the professionalism that I learned, and MUST make it's way to the Jordanian masses, and what ever services they provide to the masses.
Good luck to all ... And well done to everyone working to make it such a success
Memories....
Congrats on the Qwaider planet, your just amazing for taking on such a task, though I appreciate Jordan Planet I did not apply to them to add my blog yet, I'm still waiting to prove to my self that I have something new and good to offer. so in a sense you have shown more trust in me and my blog than I did to myself : ) so thanks for taking the risk

I'm sure they'd welcome you. You have great writing skills and I consider you an asset to any service
Sometimes, all we need is just a little push, a little encouragement and the rest is up to our talent
