يا الله .... سمعت الاغنية هاي على مزاج FM و ما قدرت ما اشاركها معكم..

    amm

    The Story

this is the only good part, you won't understand it unless you're away from the place that you lived your life in, even if you replace amman with any other city/country/place name.

I got so emotional. this guy has a very deep feeling in his voice tone, Qwaider.. for the first time, thanks for sharing!

And who is holding him? :) He can go back any time. I assure you that.:)
Sometimes ya Omar, it's not as simple as that. Many students can't afford to go back. Can't afford to be with their loved ones.
Sometimes the conditions surrounding someone, forces them to not be able to come home ...
For me to go back home.

    Me: $1700
    Wife: $1700
    Laila: $1200
    Omar: $1200
    Rent in US: $900
    Utilities: $1000
Expenses in Amman One month: $2000

Thats why I cant go every year.

    ya jama3a..
Visiting is different from GOING BACK.
Being a student would not make you sing such a song.
GOING back means residing over there and that is a different issue:0
    eh...
    wa7dolna allah :)
He can go back if he wants to live there:) and i will say it again..I am so sure he can:)
lol, I can't stop laughing at Wael's comment.

Well, this is a good song. The guy needs to train his voice a little better though.

    Omar,

it doesn't matter whether the guy can go back to Amman or not. I don't care if he doesn't even want to go back home. I think in the end, an artist has the right to express things that are not necessarily his own and are just his way for speaking for others.

You say "being a student doesn't make you sing such a song", maybe. But I've been a student in the US and I have to admit the first two years were the hardest. I was homesick and I wanted to go back almost every minute. I knew it was just a feeling, and that all one has to do is wait it out, but nevertheless the feeling is there and many people experience it.

If this guy who is a student and who is missing home, just happens to have the talent to express his feelings with a song that ends up speaking for more than just himself and for those who are in a worse condition, then who are we to tell him no or to ridicule him?

    Let him sing.

As I hear it I felt the agony of longing for the land that I saw the first light, and took the first breath. The land of Palestine el7abeeba and I have remembered the Jasmine fragnance as I walked our streets. The lights of the houses at nite spreading on the mountains like sparkling Stars. I have lived the feeling of all what he is singing about as after so many years in the US and still long to my birth place, ardh alkaramat ardh alisra2 ardhana almu7tala

    Galo talat ayam ghurbitna blayaleeha
Ma dreena yamma kuna zghar whay shibna
Ya dar lou 3udna kama kuna
La a6leeki ya dar badal esheed bel7ina

who does not long to his land has no roots and no feelings.
So please, don't redicule the guy as with every word of 7anait I felt it deep.

And I know that many Iraqis would cry as well hearing this song and remembering Baghdad and Iraq. This is genuine human noble feelings
Even our prophet SAAW felt it about Macca.
7ub bilad el Islam min el-Iman wa shooq elha min anbal al7asees.

    Hadana Allah wa eyakum

Hi Qweider, I have missed your blog, I see you have amazing posts as usualy

Hello everyone, I've been looking around for feedbacks about my song, this blog really grabbed my attention! I want you all to know, that I am back in Amman, I love it, and I am alive and happy again.

I would like you to know that this is the first I leave a comment on a blog, usually I try to be away from comenting on blogs, so people feel free to say whatever they want about this anonymous musician (that would be  me).

I lived in the USA under difficult conditions; scholarship, so I could not just go home, I got stuck for 2 years before I ever got to visit it, if some of you know what a DS 2019 is, most of the time I did not have it with me, yeah, it sucked! and I wasn't the only one that couldn't make it, there were others that have not been home for over 5 years, its tough...

about my voice, as some of you know, I wrote the lyrics, music , and worked  the arangments for a final project for my music composition degree, and thats where the recording comes from. which means, I had one chance to sing each song, and yes, it did not sound as good as it could have, but singing live gets the listener into the drama and situation, I take you up to the peak with me and I have you fall down with me, that's the idea...

this song is dedicated to all of those that are living abroad away from home, I want to tell them we feel you, and we know where you come from. I say it in very simple terms for you guys out there to live the moment and get that rush out of your mind through listenning to this song.

thank you all for your feedbacks, they are helping so much, and thank you Qwaider for posting the song, that means a lot to me.

    salam.... Aziz

lol our singer Aziz nice to c u there really , ur honest feeling is so apperant in the song that what makes it sincere ..good luck
    Dear Aziz,
Thank you VERY much for visiting this humble blog, and reading what people have to say about your fantastic work
We're so honored to have you here, and I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you for capturing the essence of how people feel when they're away from home. I think your performance is extremely touching and sincere. That is such an amazing performance and I hope you would continue with your fantastic performance

    Enjoy
    Mr. Hamarna,

Can you help me with something here?

Why is it a need for you to attack those who have different taste than yours?

Some like it , some don't. Let's stop at that why calling the others idiots?

it's OK to have an opposite opinion you know, the world does not rotate around you.

    Hamamah,

can you please write your comment one more time in Arabic, I am having difficulties understanding it in English.

nice song Aziz, However, I think Possessed is a lot more Artistic and Magical, it's definetely a hit. And I like your analysis for the song on the website. Wow!

    Cheers
This song is fascinating, and it easily hit a chord with expats. People who have memories in Amman, people who love the place and the people of Amman.
What makes something great, is not perfection, if there is such a thing. People vary in Taste, and many people enjoy something merely because they feel with it. And in that, This specific song really took it home.
Also, remember this is Aziz's first album, do you recall Amr Diab's first album? I'm not comparing the two, but cut the guy some slack. He is definitely talented, and this song is fantastic by my humble taste. And I'm a person who studied music, and plays the Oud professionally, among other instruments.
Can we just give him a pat on the back for a job well done and then give him points of feedback and criticism for him to improve in the future?
Thanks Palforce and Angel for taking the time to respond. And Thanks Aziz for being so humble as to respond to your fans directly. We love you too

Greetings to all, am sorry to intrude but I have a few words I need to say so please bear with me:
When I first heard the song I thought I wouldn't like it, and it seemed weird and silly! But when he said "7anait" I cried, I was really moved! It didn't matter any more if he has a nice voice or the lyrics are "good". He sings from his heart, and the feelings I got when I heard him sing were overwhelming. I live alone in Amman, my whole family is abroad, ya3ni ana mo'3tarebeh in my own country, I don't miss my country but I sure do miss my family, so I know what's it like to long for loved ones! I know each one of us has a different taste and I respect that, but that's no reason to make fun of other people's feelings! Every one has the right to express himself in his own words, and that doesn't necessarily mean that every one feels the same way! The ones who DO feel the same way as Aziz they do understand the longing and craving behind these simple words. Maybe he doesn't have a beautiful voice like some of you commented, and maybe to others it's "crap", but to me he touched my heart very deep, and that's what counts. Sorry all for this long talk, and THANK YOU Aziz for the honest feelings and good luck to you in your life.
Absolutely Rose, That's what most people felt. Especially people who miss someone, miss their family or miss their country
For us expats, it's combind. Family, country, loved ones, culture, language, just being with out kin ... It has very deep and extremely touching message

Aziz's voice and possibly more his new incursion into the music world make you sympathize even more. You feel that he's like someone who's trying so hard to do the best he can but suffocating under the weight of associated emotions ...
Thank you for stopping by Rose, please, come back again. Aziz himself visits this page and I'm sure he'll enjoy your comment too

eimy, wallahi I hate calling names but, mind me say that you are the stupid one?? ok, that is all.. He is Ammani, from Amman, been raised in Amman all his life, why shouldn't he sing for Amman or even Aqaba???? You really have a wierd mentality! That is the landscape he experienced of his childhood and youth life!

Guys, I used to pray god to get me out of 3amman coz of my life challenges and lots pain.

Now i'm in the U.S. for a limited period, and I can't wait to go back ... I miss street's lights at night, the way sky looks from my window, the smell of 3amman ... !! having a nice place to live in is wonderful, but if it does not feel like home, it's meaningless.

I'm in sooooo much pain this moment ... I can't stop crying and I miss talking to my people .. friends and family ...

    Love

I'm addicted to hearing this song though the singer's voice is not strong but the words are moving and his performance is heart touching because it's clear that he really feels bittered being away from his home Amman like many people who are heartbroken for missing their home and can't get back.

    hi!
I am not Jordanian. not am I arab. but i was in jordan last year and i fell inlove with that country and of course with Amman. I came back to JOrdan just 10months after I left. I worked hard and borrowed money for 10mionths to have the opportunity to set foot in that wonderful country.. i was there 2 months, very happy very pleasant. sadly i had to come back home to the USA.. but my heart is in amman. I have declared myself JOrdanian :D and I will again work 10months and go back this summer, to be happy with my love JOrdan. I miss you..
