When it takes months for an answer. When posts in the forum gets deleted. When emails go unanswered. You know you're dealing with unprofessional .... so who's going to do something about it?
Have you looked at the junk that is being posted on your first page? Sure you're aggregating what users are posting but the signal to noise ratio is low, and getting lower by the day!

Some are posting ONE LINERS! others are posting way too personal crap and many are just copy and paste posts.

All of this when people have apparently been trying to get on your damn list, without having any solid ETA's or due dates, which if tells anything it would tell how poorly and unprofessionally this whole venture is being run

The new comers corner have probably not been updated in few months, and people who want to join are totally disregarded. Not even a note.

In the business and technology world that I come from, not answering your mail is considered rude, and a Shame.

Shame on you Jordan Planet, I'm so disappointed in you!

I'm sure, the ADMINs who are not doing their job right will manage to find time to delete this post, So I'm blogging it!

This is not rant or criticism, this is FEEDBACK, Take it, and put it to some good use, improve yourself

Qwaider, you were tutoring those guys of Jordan how to put a dot after the www and now after a dozen of years they are paying back by not even replying to accept you in their cyberspace, sure I will be angry if I were you. ;)

Jordan planet, this guy is one of the first reasoning for your current existence. If he didnt teach you directly then he is just most likely the first node in you chain of knowledge.
    Thanks Husam
As much as I would love to take credit, (secretly, it's very fulfilling) but I really can't. It's been the hardwork of many..

wow, tell me why we Arabs are ALWAYS negative and complaining? I do the same. Why can't we see the positive side? I mean in this case appreciate what these people are doing? they are volunteers who have a lot to do, but yet try to dedicate time for people to express themselves. I dont agree with you,  I think JP is actually great, and very progressive. I hope they get better with time... but i am really not disappointed with them.
Hi Madas, and thank you very much for your comment and stopping by. apparently, with JP you're mileage might vary. I look at it from a specific perspective and find the free service lacking. Who said you can't have a free service and have it do a great job? Why not? if you're doing something do it right.
What is missing is a specific timeline, a guideline something that make things actually improve. That is what is missing.
If someone sends you a mail, calls you, pages you and you just turn the deaf ear, you're just being plain old rude. If you're in the business of trafficking information then it's an obligation that you have volunteered to do, and therefore better do it right.
People need to start taking pride of their work and what better way to show your pride other than providing the best service you can.
I don't like to throw fits at people and I'm usually extremely patient, but at present time, I find my patience reaching it's limit.
We really need to take feedback and turn it to positive experience, find our shortcomings and make them better, this is the rule of running any successful venture, JP included.

I understand your frustration because it took me a few months to get on JP, but I also understand that they are volunteers and we need to appreciate the work they do. Most of them maintain their own blogs and even work on other blog aggregators, so it's a hefty job. Nevertheless, the least I would expect is a response to inquiries but I imagine they are receiving many and cannot respond to all of them.

You said..."Some are posting ONE LINERS! others are posting way too personal crap and many are just copy and paste posts."

This is the beauty of blogging, because it represents the diversity of interests that bloggers have and the topics they choose to discuss in their personal space. While I might not consider a post interesting or even of any merit, this is my personal opinion and I'm sure others would have widely differing perspectives. The purpose of the aggregator is to introduce you to all kinds of blogs and you have the freedom to choose which ones you frequent.

As for JP, just give them some time and I'm sure you'll be there soon :)
Thanks Moi, I'm already well aware of the kind of challenges it presents. I guess I'm a perfectionist, if something is to be done, I expect it to be done right. I can't apologize for that since this is truly how I fee.

As for the content of the posts. I agree with you, but for the love of god, one line titles end up in there? I mean, at least have like a minimum limit of say, 300 letters for a post to be posted.

I'm not undermining their work, I'm just trying to give much needed feedback, volunteer or not, if a job is to be done right, it should be done right, I can't repeat that enough. It's my obligation to give them this feedback if they are going to progress. That's all

Qwaider, thanks for this feedback :) I just want you to know that the staff of Jordan Planet do not think the status quo is entirely acceptable, and we're working on creating more effective mechanisms to do the job right! A lot of issues are controversial, like how do you determine the good quality of a blog, should everyone be on the main page, what's the criteria? Is quality relative and subjective? Should Jordan Planet be more selective, or should it encompass all Jordanian blogs regardless??? Those are debates that have been raised at blogger meet-ups over and over during the past year, but without reaching a clear consensus! Please be patient with us a tiny bit, and don't lose faith in Jordan Planet :) it's the spirit that keeps it going despite the tough demands of everything else.

i myself been trying to join forever, but I never got a reply! :/
I don't know what's the matter with them...

Well I guess the matter shouldn't wait any longer, a website like this should be regularly watched, observed and updated by it's webmasters. I think there should be manual picking of good articles, so it would reduce the amount of useless features as Qwaider stated.

Thank you very much Lina and Omar, I guess we just have to wait and see, and keep wishing and hoping!
