I was browsing through Batir's blog today, and came across a post where he expresses his frustration from an article in the LA times. I'm not going to get into the details of the article or Batir's answer... but...

I am going to get into the attitude of people!

For god's sake, the person has the right to speak out his mind without being criticized on his own blog on his own space from everyone!!

I mean, if you don't like an article, just move on! Why do people have the persistence to pop their head into someone's comments section and blabber about how stupid, ignorant, shameful what ever junk they can shove in there about the PERSON and just go by with their day!

I salute Batir for leaving such comments there, I would have done the same, but don't misunderstand tolerance for weakness, I am sure many of us who practice a lot of restraint have the capability to retaliate in a very very painful way. Not only that, but we could simply "delete" what we don't like!

People, we all need to learn how to engage in a civilized discussion where ideas are discussed while the people are exempt.

Batir is not the only victim of such, drive-by-commenting... many have suffered, and many continue to suffer. Therefore, I suggest we form an alliance.... yes you heard me right

Alliance of bloggers, where we track "evildoers" through the different blogs, and come up with ways to "ban" people or share the banning information for other people to be alert. Once a person/email/IP gets "shit-listed", then they get "less" privileges.

    What do you people think?

Thanks a million for your support. I think a healthy debate is always welcome and for me this particular post was a very useful eye-opener. I have let myself also to be dragged by the comments and said some nonsense myself so I felt I have a certain vulnerability that I must deal with. However this is all a learning process and everyone is entitled to his opinion and we will take time to respect the other side of the story. Thanks again.
    Sure Batir,
As long as people understand that the blogger's person, is above the subject or issue being discussed.

hmmm, maybe you can also pass resolutions that allow you to detain these people without charge, use torture to get information on other "evildoer" cells, and invade their blogs to overthrow them and establish blogs that fulfill your standards to hand over to a blog-less exile.

then you can challenge the Klingons to a gigantic inter-galactic battle for universal domination.
    LOOOL

Qwaider, I have to disagree with you here brother. Batir brought it upon himself when PERSONALY & UNPROFISSIONALY attacked the LA Times writer without presenting him with valid educated counter point of view. Instead he insulted his research by calling it names.

Such responded generated such comments. You reap what you saw I guess.
Had Mr. batir presented his readers with a valid counter post to the LA Times articles people would have commented with the same level.

I found evildoer's comment quite amusing to be honest :-)

    Sam7oona.

    Peace
Evildoer... YES YES YES :D, the dark side I sense in you  .... :) LOL. That was an AWESOME comment :)

Palforce, the person should remain above the discussion, either way.
