A bunch of reports circulating around the web, claiming marital issues in the Royal palace in Jordan. That could eventually lead to a Royal divorce

    royal

It has been reported that the King and the Queen have been facing some marital issues, and that the possibility of a royal divorce are not far fetched.

The issue comes as a total surprise to many especially when the royal couple have been viewed world wide as a beacon of love, romance and strong martial bonds.

It has been also reported that the royal couple are sleeping in separate rooms. And that the issues have reached some critical levels.

King Abdullah II (44) and Queen Rania Al Abduallah (36) have 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls), and have been seen in many magazines throwing a barbeque at times and taking a spin on a Harley in others.

Whether the royal court is going to confirm or deny these rumors remains to be seen. It would be quite a tragedy if these reports are confirmed at least for yours truly as I view and love the couple and sincerely wish them all the luck.

Time will tell I guess, but looks like, even the life of Kings and Queens is not far from domestic dispute.

May god bless the King, Queen and the Kingdom. My thoughts and prayers go out to the royal family.

    Memories....

i heard something about it few weeks ago but i brushed it off thinking that they are very happy, or at least this is how it seems..it would be sad if they do, and those poor poor kids! but if they cannot go on together and cannot reach an agreement living together, i think separation is better in situations like these even for kings and queens!
Really ?? This is sad !
May I ask by "whom" "  was it reprted?" I'm not doubting your sources or anything, I'm also not asking you to disclose your sources if you wish to keep them secret, but any  report carries more weight to it whenever the source is revealed. Is it a friend? Is it a news agency? Is it a government official? Is it someone close to the royal family? is it some one that have intimate knowledge about the sparring couple? I just don't want to think of it as if it is relative someone trying to drive a wedge between them, that is all.
How would anyone drive a wedge between them by spreading news of them having issues?
If anything I as a Jordanian would be the first to wish that things would get better and resolved.
I looked around and the news is rather sketchy. It should be easily dismissed

I don't think it would be wise... given that both the king and the queen have their status is the international community
Well, I heard from young people attending the footbal matches in Amman stadium that during half time or whenever the crowd gets loud, a group young Jordanian people would be repeatedly chanting طلقها يا ابو حسين طلقها يا ابو حسين.... I can't confirm the authenticity of these provocative chatings but perhaps it gives you an idea about where I got my thought about someone trying to drive a wedge between them.
I heard that story too, and I think they were saying:
    "واحد اثنين، طلّقها يابو حسين، و بنجوزك ثنتين"
But I'm not sure this is related.
Those chants should be considered just as severe as chanting against the king himself and should have been dealt with at the time in a swift way.
But Anyway, that incident was based on blind bigotry nothing more.
Again, my most sincere prayers go out to them hoping everything can be mended and life will go on

    SHOO BET GHOOL?
hahaha.. this is really funny!  NO people! The king and his wife aren't looking for a divorce, and are still a happy couple. I can sense these things, and these two will never be divorced. Besides.. man,, is it soo easy to start rumors? Ok I will start one: PRINCESS Haya was forced to wear the vail by her husband, the crown prince of dubai. King Abdullah interfered, and princess haya is thinking about divorce.

go ahead, start that rumor around. Or do you want me to post it? I have pictures of her wearing the vail on different occasions in dubai, anyone interested???

Other than that, c'mon  7atem abunimeh, How on earth did you link the shoutings with this rumor? They have been saying these things for ages now on football games, and I think you are smart enough to know why, especially in a faisali we7dat game, or is it so hard to figure why???

It's always sad to hear about a divorce,
whether on a Royal scale or just among normal citizens.

And these are our representatives, and the ones who take care of our land, so yeah, it's is saddening :(

I wish them the best as well...

    hey, whats up...
a friend of mine told me about this particular post, and i felt i had to comment!

i've been hearing this rumor for quite sometime,it come and goes and people still tend to come up with such weired stories? and evertime i hear people talking about such things, it sounds somehow stupid, with all due respect to everyone!

who is this very close source to know and say they sleep in seperate bedrooms? or to know even other private details? people have been also saying stupid stuff that there's sth wrong with the queen being too slim, and other things related to why thier kids wears glasses that they may have some sort of disease! my two young sisters wears glasses, and they dont have anything!:)

ofcourse no one relationship is perfect, there r ups and downs, issues between couples, but i say, who are we to come and discuss the issues of King and Queen's marriage? why dont we be a little more concerned and try to discuss out issues ?:)

people let it go to themselves to discuss ,say or even come up with such rumors, and so, why dont we let THEM sort thier things out!:)

and regarding the things people said at the satdium, this story is sooo old, and yet people still discuss it:)

anyway, whatever is going on is thier own business! and please lets not listen to such rumors and discuss it again:)

    thanks.

First, thanks so much for passing by and giving your opnion about the matter, you know Haitham, I totally agree with you, But as you know the king and Queen are public figures. It's only natural that people discuss their issues. Because people for the most part are concerned

As you can see, the majority of comments were best wishes for the royal couple to mend what ever is wrong (IF there is anything wrong) and hopefully emerge back as the most wonderful couple in Jordan
Our hearts and prayers are with them always.

thank you for writing back:) well i know they r puclic figuers, and Q. Rania is my inspiration in my work and she truly inspires me in many ways...and she is probably on top of the list of the people i admire and whom i would like to meet, so i have to be very concerned about her news in any way, and i know its natural for people to talk about them, but as u know, sometimes people exagerate, and just say things for the sake of ....just talking, u know what i mean?:)

    thanks...
Yes, Haitham... you're absolutely right again, Did you see her interview on Oprah? here: Queen Rania of Jordan on Oprah

hi again Qwaider, yes i've seen her on oprah, she looked gorgeous and stunning, and how the idea of becoming queen must have been terrifying to her, yet we see her very natural and trying to get involved in all aspects of the community, the other day she and the king  along with thier kids and two other guests had sohor in Hashem rest. downtown, how would that sound to you?:)...actully i've been interested in everything she does for the past 5 years:) getting every magazine she appeared in, watching anything she participated in, even checking gettyimages.com for new and updated pics for her:)...i once read in a magazine, they asked Georgio Armani, who is his favo. dinner guest? he said Q. Rania of Jordan:)as i said she is a true inspiration to me and when i see how beatifully she represents us to the world, and how the world looks up to her and how she became a role model,it  makes me (us) so proud:)...
