Google Picasa

Yes yes ... you heard it right,

Google is offering Picasa for free, I've been test driving it for couple of days and I already love it

Many commercial software are available that does pretty much the same thing

But this one is Free, From Google with a nefty list of features .... Check them out

Find the pictures you forgot you had.
Move and re-name pictures from inside Picasa.
Make a label.
Add a star rating.
Keep one picture in multiple albums.

... and much much more ....

Password-protect collections.

I am familiar with Picasa, I've used and tested it, indeed it has lots of great features, however i'm sticking with ACDSee, its still faster when halding large file collections :)

I actually cataloged my 11,000+ pictures mostly 3 to 5 MB files. I thought it did a good Job
The other thing I compared it to was Microsoft Digital suite 2006, Which surprizingly, held it's own and did a good job. But I still found Picasa kind of lighter weight than MS counterpart

When was Picasa not for free? I tested it a few years ago when I firststarted bloggingbut I hated it.. it's still installed on my PC but I never use it.
And hay.. ista7eit 3a dami.. wallahi inno this isn't the first time I comment but for some reason my comments never show up on your blog!

Sink into the background? what browser are you using? might be a browser issue. Sice IE and firefox are rendering fine for me, but haven't tried mozella to know for sure
