Rated 4.4/5 stars (178 votes cast)

I had so much fun watching this movie, just as I do everything Quintin Tarantino leaves his finger print on anything...... Yes, it's a cheap Asian flick ... but you know what? It's better than tons of the junk that Hollywood is pumping out shamelessly everyday....

    protector

7.5/10 on the Qwaider Scale, but warning, this is NOT a chick flick, ladies, you probably want to pass

This movie has so much violence, so much action, so much mind boggling stunts that will totally blow you away.

Think of it as "Kill Bill" on steroids, and oh, that Gang of 88 scene, is there too. Only he's not using a sword, he's cracking bones, twisting elbows, so much joints crackling to make you really cough up couple of bones!Tony Jaa

Tony Jaa, is seriously talented, if you thought Jackie Chan had a language issue, this guy has a language barrier ... but his talent, and his martial arts style are unique

The action is so fast, so intricate .. and so out of this world. Blink and you will miss it. Yes, it gets weird at times, and the action gets so violent at times that instead of getting shocked you crack a laugh. It defies gravity, and the majority of the laws of physics or even common sense, but I KID YOU NOT, it's REAL! I haven't seen stunts this real ever before in any string-Fu movie. Seriously amazing!

The slow motion scenes are extremely shocking, not just shocking, awe-inpiring, stunning and totally brilliant

Alright, so the story is about an Elephant protector who someone foolishly messes with his elephant. And ... all hell breaks loose. Yeah, boring, but this genre you don't watch for the story, you watch it for the action.

The worst part was the computer generated graphics, but this is one action hero that doesn't need any, they worked to illustrate the idea more or less. But looked cheap! Like movie clips from a playstation game or something.

I have to say, this fighting style (Thai-kick-boxing) really lacks the grace of Kung-Fu, Taekwondo, or Karate, but in the hands of a master like Tony Jaa. It takes a life of it's own.

A must see, but all standards

The movie is also known as, "Honor of the beast", "Ong Bak 2", "Honor of the Dragon", "Thai Dragon" but in the US simply "The Protector"

This movie is a must to watch! One of the best i've ever seen. Tony Jaa is raw talent.
