Every where you go, you see comments or posts by Anonymous. Apparently, some people really worship their privacy

    anony

So what goes in the mind of an Anonymous commenter? Are they so cowardly to the point that they don't dare to stand up to their ideas? Is there a point?

Recently, I was visiting a very interesting and worthy blog, Rami's wall. Where he just added a post where Naom Chomsky quoted him.

While many view this as a "so what?" kind of thing, or burn with envy, Others more moderately feel pride in Rami's work, and hope to do the same one day. Frankly this is such an amazing achievement that can't go unnoticed

It's convenient for someone to hide atop their ivory tower shouting at people below and undermining their achievements while they themselves are worthless earthworms good for nothing other than to continue to live in the crap they're already in.

No one is against constructive criticism or even frank flat out disagreement. Some might be more sensitive than others. But there is no harm in being straight forward about it and.

Anonymity is a dual edge sword, you might get along unaffected by commenting anonymously. You might say what you want, but most probably will not be taken seriously anyway.

Stand up to what and who you are. And remember next time you have the urge to comment anonymously that you'll no be taken seriously

I hate Anonymous comments and I dont take them seriously at all, and sometimes I prefer that if you want to comment as an anonymous dont comment at all because it will be taken as nothing!

ya jama3a the blogs masa7et 7oreyyeh so you can say what ever you want as long as there is no bad intentions and sickness. Believe me no one 7aye2ta3 rasak!
7ala I don't think they hide their names because they are afraid of people's reaction to their constructive comments. You see, it's rare to see anonymous commentators leaving positive replies! Anonymity is their way to leave crap on other's posts, and kinda escape with it.

I also see it an opportunity for the blog owner to show cowards alike how miserable they are, by simply ignoring them and not paying them much attention, the exact thing that Rami did :)

and yes; I second you and Qwaider: anonymous commentators are never taken seriously!
    Well
I can’t understand why don’t they put their names….its weird ..as if they gain any achievements by posting insulting comments…….

    As 7ala put it...THEY R SICK PPL

Finally someone said something about those cowards,
they just happen to be somehow, designated, to annoy other people with their pointless comments.

I just hope whoever is commenting me wouldn't be someone I know, or rather from the planet...

Why its never taken seriously? what matters most; the idea discussed or the person peresenting that idea?

Many times i feel who is posting or commenting name or ID should not be displayed because in a virtual world what should be exchanged are ideas not ideas peresented by certain people.

but i guess its a cultural thing, jordanians in real life do identify the message holder more than the message it self, the value of the messanger status,  family name, geneder, elegance and sometimes beauty counts more than what he or she is saying or the argument s/he adapts. so its expected to see them expressing their refusal to anonymous people ideas.

Layla they are not taken seriously because most of the times the anonymous commentators are sick people who wants "as Ghaith said" to leave craps on others blogs!

So If an anonymous commentator add a valuable comment to a post, every one will have to take it seriously regardless the commentator's identity!

And regarding what you said about how our society cares about the message holder more than the message content i have to agree with you becoz you are very right , its one of our ways to show how shallow people we are ! But in the blogsphere and in this case exactly its different!
    i agree with 7ala and '3aith

I don't know what the problem is by wanting to keep one's identity unknown. Consider it freedom of choice. After all they do read your blogs and contribute to their viewing, don't they these cowards?

I'm not Anonymous, but I'm only Hasan. Apart from the blog owner, this is as much info as anyone can know about me. So what difference does it make?

I personally think that the only sense in leaving a name is so that people can know who wrote what and who to reply to.
7ala Yes, I hate Anonymous comments as well. I mean, it's one thing for someone to say their name, and it's another to just play they're anonymous so they would get away with everything they say.
Ghaith Yeah, I agree with you, they do that possibly because they're afraid of people's reactions. Or that people would think ill of them. But nevertheless, most of the Anonymous comments are bad. I don't mind them at all, if they have something good to say, or constructive, then by all means. But to use them just to say crap about people is just not cool (to say the least)
Arab Lady It's fine, I'm sure they have some reasons (and they might be legitimate ones). I don't think they're all sick, but sometimes they just plain old add no value
Rami Walaw bro, it's our honor to have you here. You're doing a fantastic job
Bam Well, once someone claims it, then we can direct all the negative comments to them ;-)
Omar LOL, looks like you're burned too. It's sad I know
Layla The problem is that most of the time there is no point or idea! They just come in, crap all over the comments and leave. With no value added, nothing useful said. That's what people are annoyed of. But if an anonymous post is worthy, then sure, by all means. And trust me, the person doesn't count much as long as it is the IDEA that counts. If you have a good idea, then you might as well share it with the masses, it would actually be good and give you credit for it. But sometimes that is not possible for cultural, religious or political reasons it would be fine then as well. But If it's just a means to vent off some frustration! Then those are the ones everyone is upset about
    7ala#2 Exactly. I agree, and I agree
    Lammoush Ya meet hala :)
Spekkie Again, if they're adding value, then by all means they're welcome and they can keep their identity anonymous. But not when they just use it to poison the water, with bigot, racial, hate, insults, pure junk and personal remarks
Hasan I have no idea what you're trying to say in the first 2 comments :) but as you can see I allow anonymous. Hasan is as much as anyone needs to know, not even your email is important to anyone (hence I keep them private) and as I said above, I don't mind them as long as they're not junk

    7ala and Qwaider,

Yes sure i can get annoyment from pointless immature comments posted in secret, they even annoy the reader not only the blogger.

yet the way it was expressed made me feel that i have to say what i had to say :)
Layla feel free to say or express anything you like, it's always welcome. I just wanted to be clear, and apparently, we're in agreement :)

Qweidar, I was  just trying to be the scary Anonymous that everyone fears:-P

It's funny that they were posted, since it gave me an error both times.
No one fears Anonymous, :) it's the contrary
Yeah, surprised? Nothing runs through this server without me knowing about it ;-). That was a decoy response
