It doesn't get any more idiotic than this. A service, claiming to let you know who's been searching for you online.
Feeding off our deep and dark insecurities, I think this service is going to succeed and make tons of money . But seriously, it's completely idiotic. Not to mention devious!
Here's how bad this can be. You are actually paying a service to tell you what you might already know. Then advertise how people are searching for you. You come in, sign up, and now they have all your private information and can sell it, or provide to other people you might search for.
Oh, and just to think of it, this is one of the problems with this. You provide your information to search for someone. Who in turn gets your information and reasons to pay money to know who you are.
Before you sign up ask yourself this question, is it worth i?
What would you gain by knowing that your Ex is searching for you!? What good would come from your boss looking you up?
Mind you, most of the information they have on you is either public records, or SUPPLIED BY you. Just read this part of the terms of service (or as people like to call it "TOS")
A). Provide Accurate Information. You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself as requested in the MyLife.com registration forms
Lovely ... isn't it? Now you're obligated by the terms of service to provide YOUR OWN accurate, current and complete information. Why again? To get someone else's details? Ehmmm ... come again? Do all your alarms go off when you hear that?
Folks, guard your privacy online. The law protects you. But only to the extent of the information that YOU PROVIDE voluntarily. So make sure you protect it. It's worth A LOT MORE than you can imagine.
Oh and for sleazy, stalker sites like that ... Go find a real ethical business to run!

Its simply stupid and targets people who have nothing else to do..
