People work harder:
Because of the increased involvement and commitment that comes from having more control and say in their work

People work smarter:
Because they are encouraged to build skills and competence

People work more responsibly:
Because more responsibility is placed in hands of employees farther down in the organization

So what drives you to work harder, smarter and more responsibly? Can you think of any reason why you do what you do for your job?

I wish I can answer cuz often I find convincing reasons to not work. I guess I am a workaholic and for me I like to see things from the beginning to end whatever the job is.

My friends say I have the ocean's breadth of patience. I guess I do.

Dude, you're like every organization dream come true! :)

But honestly, these things can't be maintained or depended on for long periods of time. You will eventually grow a family and your life is going to be so complicated and have so many variables that work might not self-motivate you to do the best you can.

I know that, I am trying to find what I would REALLY like to do and more importantly grow a pair to actually do it. In the mean time I am working here and there on different things - to my parents' dismay - and see what's out there. Postponing any hopes of financial security with it!

I am extraordinarily patient (except if I am hungry) and in my last job which I vocally despised and hated within the organization I did manage to get an award of exemplary performance.
