I was going through last season of House, when an episode caught my attention on what I can describe as social hypocrisy, in favor of being politically correct with Gays.

However, this specific concept defies logic. No matter how you look at it!

In the episodes, the characters were all trying to convince a "reverted" gay man, that he is gay. While he was fighting to explain to them that he is NOT gay. He was trying to get married, and apparently loves his fiance. But no matter what he did, he just couldn't convince anyone.

The justification why everyone wanted him to "be honest" is that he will live a miserable marriage.

    Fair enough, but ...

One of the main characters of the show happens to be a Bisexual woman. Everyone accepts her as being that, and understands how she can like both men AND women and just be that way with no problem.

But here's where the illogical part lies, how come it's OK for a woman to be bisexual while the males are either straight or gay? Doesn't that sound like a violation of some cosmic law or something?

So females can exist in 3 states of the matter: Straight, gay and Bi. But males can only exist in Straight and Gay!

    How idiotic is that?

Then why is it completely OK for a woman to experiment with her team, then defect back to the others and no one gives that a moment's thought?

    Just wondering!

Again, I'm not trying to pass judgement LGBT "community". But rather, on the society that is trying pretty hard to be politically hypocritically correct!

I wrote about this subject once, and I was dragged everywhere you think of for investigation. explaining a story of a lesbian friend of mine that moved to France. she was harrased enough, her blog was erased, her university papers were gone and she was threatened to be killed but random people.

Thanks for the comment Moey, but can you explain to me how all these tragic events relate to the society's biased portrayal of gay men? and the ability to revert to straight-hood?

I have it on a good authority that gay men do not get aroused by females, even when they try to.And I have found out I do not get aroused by females, just males.I find it hard to believe that women are indeed bi-sexual.I like it when people know what they like and stick with it,fickleness is not my cup of tea. But,then on the other hand I might be wrong, some women might be bisexual,I'm try to be open minded about things,I don't understand it though. But,I do understand gay men.

I think it stems from the way society portrays a gay man. They are always feminine and act girly for some reason. I guess we think that a guy should be very masculine and a woman wouldn't find someone who is very similar to her in taste, dress and actions to be attractive. Women who want to date someone who is feminine will just date a woman.
    well said and written.

    really.

The episode is not a commentary on the non-existence of bisexual men, or whether its more acceptable for women to be bisexual(it is, and women sexuality is said to be more fluid) but its a commentary on conversation therapy which is a completely different thing.
This is a guy that recognizes that he is gay, not bisexual or straight, but he doesn't accept it and tries to change, revert, his orientation and thats why as medical staff they were advising him that this is neither right or healthy and its proved by way too many examples of how those ex-gays live.
