Let me start by saying that Apple has no religion. In fact, Apple is a "for profit" company that does everything to make money (sorry for the Apple fans who feel personally offended that Apple doesn't make things to make him personally happy)

Apple have taken a very wise decision, to pull an App that offends Islam off their App store. A similar app that offends Christianity is still loose in the wild, and being sold on App store.

Perhaps Muslims take these things more seriously, or more precisely, centuries of mocking Christianity have paid off, I seriously feel sorry for Christians these days. I'm not really sure. But what is certain is that PEOPLE are the ones who control what goes on, and what offends them

    Remember that!

Of course, you will hear freedom of speech martyrs now shouting foul play. But the truth is, there is no freedom in offending people. Or insulting their religion.

Bravo Apple! You won't get too many of those from me, so consider this a huge honor!

Wish I could see the look on the face of that idiot Dawkins now!

I know this comment is going to raise some ire...

America has been trying to keep politics and religion apart for so long and Christianity has been in the crosshairs regarding this for decades now. Christinas in America fight with their vote. Many argue that we should turn the other cheek as we were commanded to by Christ. Christ said that we would be persecuted for our faith and no where in his teachings did He say we should strike back.

The apostle Paul, in the Book of Romans said, "Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them." (Romans 12:14)
Jesus Himself is quoted in the Book of Matthew saying, "But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." (Matthew 5:44)

Take European cartoonists receiving death threats from Muslims for drawing Muhammad and warning the makers of South Park for their portrayal of Muhammad and so on and so on... America has been desensitized to offending Christianity and over-sensitized to offending Muslims.

    There... I said it.

And never have I been under some illusion that Apple's sole purpose was to make their customers happy... the fact that they make their customers happy by making far superior products is simply a means to an end... money. ;)

Tim, feel free to say whatever you want. Don't hold back
I agree with you on certain things.

The Christians have not always been so harmless as you know. Turning the other cheek is used at a whim and not used when people don't want to.

Anyway, I still believe that respecting people's beliefs is the way to promote peaceful coexistence.

As for Apple, they're the new Antichrist :) they make far inferior products and people still find them superior. That's the true genius!
