Dear Jordan TV, no such a thing as Good radiation!

Rated 4.6/5 stars (95 votes cast) Thanks for your vote!

I was shocked today when I heard Jordan TV promoting Afra hot springs which has natural hot-springs that has a large concentration of minerals (which is great) but also has the highest recorded radiation levels anywhere in the world (bad, VERY VERY bad)

If you don't know what radiation does, let me give you a quick short idea. Radiation KILLS! It affects living cells, it breaking down chemical compounds (like DNA) and causes deadly mutations, cancers, and irrecoverable cell damage. For pregnant women it's way worse, it causes abortion and birth defects.

Radiation clinically can only be administered in extremely low controlled doses, performed by highly skilled doctors under very tight measures because IT KILLS.

Now that this is out of the way, the next message is to Jordan TV, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!!

In the news cast dated 5/18. During the news bulletin, I was shocked to what I was hearing! So I had to pay attention

The news was about Afra hot springs in Tafila, where researchers discovered very high levels of radiations. The highest recorded world wide, not just any radiation, Gamma Radiation!

Now for experts, such radiation "hot spots" are a major reason for concern. These areas are at be closed to the public and possibly treated for radiation. They are so dangerous as people who get there die without knowing why!

You will still find an old lady or an aging man who is suffering from the placebo effect and swears that he got cured in such a place. When in fact, such a cursed place is has deadly properties.

I just can't believe Jordanian TV promotes such stuff, and I can't believe that not a single 1st year physics student was consulted before airing that irresponsible and deadly message to the public. I just can't image how!

In a country that is just about to embark on a nuclear future, education appears to be our Achilles heel. There's nothing wrong in not knowing. But it's extremely shameful not to consult someone who knows.

I'm positive we have scores of qualified people who can address this, if they were consulted! But apparently they were not!

In fact, a recent study (2008/2009) warns of the effect of Afra springs on public health (Ajlouni et al, and here). There is NO EXCUSE! The people who published the report LIVE IN JORDAN, from Tafila technical University! Couldn't they have been consulted? Or called for a statement?!

    Again, WHAT were you thinking?!

Dude, the hot spot around Afra springs has recorded 10 times more than the highest formerly known natural radiation hot spot in Brazil. It's Gamma Radiation if you need to know a bit more. The worst of the nuclear radiations since it penetrates deep and causes all sorts of cancers and mutations in the body. It's extremely dangerous to all living tissues

Marvin radiation is not perfectly healthy for you,in fact it's extremely dangerous, and so is laying in the sun without the protection of a sunblock and sunglasses. It might be worth our effort to investigate if the military is hiding that there is radiation in our country, and while we're at it what does the US military do now about the Russian prostitutes that sell themselves to lay with and pillow talk even with young American soldiers near the North Korean border, if war is braking out between North and South Korea? Are these prostitute spies? I don't know,I'm just asking. There are methods to pump informations out of very young drunk soldiers.
