Yes, yes... I lie. So does everyone else. The biggest liar is the person who says, "I don't lie"

    liar

Whether it is about your natural hair color, natural lip color. Where you went after work of if you have eaten that last piece of cake in the fridge! We all do it

There is no such a thing as a human that doesn't lie. We lie to make others feel good sometimes, or make them feel bad. It doesn't matter lying is lying...

We lie to kids to "protect" them from things that we don't understand. We lie to our managers about dead lines, we give untrue excuses to everyone why we didn't make it. Or even tell someone that the atrocity that she prepared for dinner is a master piece, and the we have never tasted anything as good

In this life, everyone is trying to sell you something, convince you of something, make you believe something. Mostly things like the bad that they have is better than the good that you have. Making your think the grass is greener on their side. Making you resent your own life and appreciate how fantastic theirs is. When in fact yours might be way better.

Just be careful, don't believe half of what you see, and ALL of what you hear. Weigh everything in your head before believing it. That's the ONLY way around this

The truth is ..... we all lie... that's probably the only truth

    Memories....

    Qwaider

I like to simplify things …but this is taking the subject out of context, according to you we all lie …well according to you definition we do, but would you call a lady with a dyed hair a liar !! or someone giving a compliment to his wife or friend a liar ….to me I define a lie according to Islam, complements between husband and wife are not lies, lying to bring two friends back together are not lies, complements to make others feel better are not lies " unless used with the boss or any other gain".

Lying is not a simple issue and I think its circumstantial, but actual lying is an act of irresponsibility and lack of self respect!! and I hate people who lie.
Look, there is actually permissible and acceptable lying and harmful type of lying. It's OK ... I didn't brand it with being good or bad... I just say, we all do it
A lady that dyes her hair is also lying. Acceptable lie, but it's still a form of lying
Oversimplifying, Exaggeration, Emphasizing specific point more than another and mentioning part of the story are all forms of lies.
Don't get upset with people who lie, learn to distinguish between truth and lies

I agree with you Tamara.. kalamek JAWAHER ;) i feel that kol shabab el ordon Kazzabeen... even they like you or not !! lazem yekon fe b kalamhom kizib !! so ya shabab o3zorona eza sorna kazzabeen la2no el sabab ENTOOOO ....
    Feeling a bit philosophical today I see : D

but I guess I do agree " according to your logic that is "
There is no us and you... Everyone lies, male and female, in Jordan and elsewhere. Everyone lies
    asalam 3alaykom,
    Qwaider pasha..
Let me be the first to welcome you into a world you have no ***** idea about!!
    Some people DON'T LIE..
there are billions of people in the world that your highness have no idea about...
some people could do something else..but they don't lie..
    as simple as that..
    I believe that Al sedk manjah..and it is..even if you'd hate me because i don't lie..because u don't like my truth!!
    still it is...manjah..why??
may be the soloution is to make you hate me..
try to digest this NEW concept..never say NEVER!!
    or..it's your loss.
It is a fact of life that everyone lies. the result of the lie is the measure that you define how big and harmful the lie is. humans commit many lies on a daily basis just to get by in life. "simple lies" happen everyday and done by everyone. explaining why you were late for an appointment or about how good a meal cooked for you is a common simple lie.

i learned from lying that when you lie, you should not elaborate on the reasons and explaining your actions because the more you explain the distorted truth will be revealed!  just a comment..and this does not mean that i lie all the time! have a wonderful day everyone, and this is a TRUE wish for all of you.
    Well well ... lying ha?

I agree with the caller that there are some people out there who don't lie ... I may hide the truth but if I was asked directly; I won't lie because there is no point ...

we can say that the lying concept has mutated a bit ... we have many kinds and forms and even colors ... but at the end of the day ... if we will accept your point of view that everyone lies; it means that we will lose hope of meeting honest people out there ...

I remember the story of the woman who was trying to call her son to her by pretending that she had something in her hand and wanted to give it to him ... then the profit (PBUH) told her that she has just told a lie ... if something that simple is a lie ... how can we pass bigger things?

Look; I really think that we don't have to lie, if I don't want to give an honest answer, it is better not to answer at all ...

In work context ... sometimes you have to be diplomatic in your way of dealing with others because as Jack Nickelson said in "Few Good Men": You can't handle the truth ... some people just can't handle or tolerate the truth so it is better to not tell it to them but at the same time; you don't have to lie!!!
On philosophical grounds, humans are incapable of telling the truth EVER... Simply because they never knew the truth to start with...

Using casual terminology, also people are psycologically incapable of not lying at all... In my opinion, the simplest act of wearing clothes (which in some religions is mandatory) is a form of lying... Where lying defined as presenting things differently from their essential nature!!

The main reason why people are psycologically incapable of not lying at all is that we have insecurities, which out of need to protect ourselves we lie.... Now, in some societies lies are needed less than others; But even in nudist societies that are raised on having nothing to hide - emotional implications hinders completely transparency in expressing the finer things...

I believe in white lies. Sometimes a white lie can stop something bad from happening. Im with justified lies, and I do believe in compliments... If a friend looks like shit and you come and tell her that she's gorgeous to make her feel better, THIS i don't condsider a lie (although it is in a way or another).

If you make a harmless lie to avoid problems, then this is also justified.
You cant really generalize, it depends on the type of lie and situation, and the reason behind it.
But for people who lie constantly, (3al tale3 wil nazel ya3ni), this is of course not acceptable. :)
See we love to alias things to make them lovable:
White lies, Diplomacy, sugar coating, compliment ...etc ...etc ...etc
All forms of lies, and you know something? I'm not saying ALL Lying is bad, nor am I saying it's good, I'm saying......
WE ALL DO IT! So stop fooling your selves. (Actually fooling yourself is a form of lying :))
I have to disagree with those who claim "benevolent" lies... I dont think there is anything like benevolent lies: Lies are tailored only to benefit the liar, but claiming to benefit others by lieing to them -i think- is bullshit, and -sorry to say- hypocritic!

When you lie to someone you hurt them, wether you know it or not... Maybe, you just wanna hurt them... But to lie to your beloved ones is pure crap!

Ok we all lie , but does saying that makes you feel better?
when we say "yes we lie" does that mean we are not guilty any more?

I just want you all to remember that admitting that we lie small and white lies doesnt make us feel better about other lies and doesnt make other lies acceptable.

Ok we all lie but we should always recognize where the level of acceptable lies ends and the level of unacceptable lies starts.

So I hope this post will not make our lies look nicer in our eyes becoz they are not!

And yes devil's mind "to lie to your beloved ones is pure crap!"

I think enno ma fi da3y nfalsef el2omor wella benseer nekzeb 3ala 7alna; we all know what is acceptable and what is not, w eldor w elba2y 3ala eldameer !
