Forgive me dear Imam, for I have a lot on my conscious to let your ill Khotba of Juma go without a few words

I say this hopeful that you will read this, and understand that I wish you nothing more than to be righteous, but to first "be RIGHT".

In the day and age where the Catholic church is publicly showing great if not brilliant commercials, you are degenerating in your preaching mechanism to lower levels than medieval slave-driver screaming feverishly atop his scabby mule!

It doesn't help the fact that you prolonged the prayer to display your mastery and your memorization of the Holy Quran, while people praying outside the mosque were shaking and shivering drenched in the cold showers, may they be rewarded for putting up with this.

It doesn't help that you were, yet again, boasting how your daughter and your wife are veiled, and how, mashallah, you conduct morning prayers from your own parking garage until that amazing pure intention is finally getting translated to a new Mosque/Center, with your efforts undoubtedly, but before you boast those, remember the thousands that paid their hard earned money, to stand outside, shivering in the rain, while you flex your memorization skills.

I could have completely forgot about the whole thing, if it wasn't for ONE thing that you said... And forgive me dear Imam, you COULD NOT BE MORE WRONG...

    "God doesn't love you"

Excuse me!? Is that really it? Who the hell are you to say that? Who appointed you the spokesperson in God's name to proclaim that God doesn't love someone? You keep flexing your memorization muscles at every occasion, exactly like some parrot while you fail to realize the soul of the verses you fondly recite! You completely don't get it! You recite things that you yourself, don't understand, or worse misunderstand.

Don't get me wrong, I pray that God may forgive your ignorance. I pray that he may grant you guidance. But I don't pardon you from not reaching out and seeking more knowledge before making broad mistakes like this one! In public, in front of an audience of just about all walks of life. During the holiest time of the holiest day of the week.

If God didn't love anyone, why would he let him exist? Why would he open the door to repentance? Or as Prophet Mohammad said on behalf of God, "I wouldn't have allowed a non-believer to have a drink of water". That's a Non-believer! Not someone who sinned!

God might get angry with people, a mother gets angry with her baby. But does that mean that she hates it? Quite the opposite. God is the MOST MERCIFUL (ponder on that, you read it at least 5 times a day), God talks about having more love and mercy over people, more than A MOTHER over her OWN child.

Then you ignorant stand there, and blatantly, ignorantly proclaim in your little "story" that God doesn't love people?

What Arrogance! What ignorance! How sad, mutilated and degenerated has this culture become. It makes my heart heavy with a lot of pain to hear that, and to witness it, in the blessed day of Juma.

For everyone else, God loves you, it doesn't matter what you have done, it doesn't matter who you are. God loves you. He says, All children of Adam are sinners, and the best of these sinners are the repentants.

As it seams, many people have forgotten that God's love and mercy has encompassed everything. Remember that Dear Imam when you speak on behalf of Allah.

wahhhh...well said qwaid... n as for dear imam, err...kwang3x ok dear imam...hurmmm..tsk! masyaALLAH
But,how is it possible for God to love sinners so much?I don't understand it.Can you help me with this?

This not having understanding of His love for us when we are sinning and care nothing about Him, nor have a deep and meaningful relationship with Him,yet He loving us so much, is really weighing on my mind, because I want mean people to take a responsibility for their actions and be punished by God.

    Afaf!
I know! Every time I remember, I just can't believe what I heard!

    Alex,
Thanks, I know you mean well, but I swear I can't understand you half the time :). It's probably my fault though :)

    Krystal
My dear, God loves everyone. He's is the most merciful, the most gracious. So has he ordained. It is his wish, and there's nothing, no power in the universe that can change this.
God is also just, and mean people will get what they deserve. By his mercy and grace that we can't comprehend, no matter how hard we tried.
    Have faith little one :)

Lord Have Mercy. God bless you for correcting him, Q.

Krystal sister, since you follow Jesus, you know His love for you is so great that He paid the penalty for all you have done, knowing what you would do before you did. A father loves a child no matter how badly the child behaves, because of the relationship they share. The sin breaks his heart, but not the relationship. It says in Hebrews that the Lord chastens those He loves, consequences for wrong actions are an important part of learning to obey out of love, not fear.

I know the sin of women has deeply burdened your heart, and it is beautiful to see your desire for their repentance and purity. God will not be mocked by the sin of His children, and those who continue in sin will have consequences. It isn't for us to decide who should be punished, how and when, as Qwaider said, we can't comprehend it.

I thank God He didn't punish me as I deserved when I was lost in sin. I hope you are meeting with your pastor's wife so she can help you channel your passion for justice in the right direction.

    Kinzi,
Thanks my dear for the kind words of wisdom. I really appreciate it. It's really sad to see some preachers tumbling that path of fear and hate, instead of love and enlightenment.

    Shishani
Oh he reads it, or at least the real Imam of the mosque reads it and will let him know. I seriously don't have any ill wishes for him, I just want him to present the right message

Bad Imams can be very destructive. I stopped attending our local Friday prayer because I would too often sit in a khotba listening to stupid things to say ... Sigh ...
