If you manage to say the same thing, to two different people, and have each one of them interpret it as a victory over his rival. Then you have mastered the art of Management!

Clear, crisp communications are only required moving up-stream. Down-stream it's mostly nebulous, vague and open for interpretation. Why? Because if the person does what you want -up to your liking- and not necessarily exactly what you asked. You would accept it. Otherwise, no matter how herculean the effort was, you can reject it, worse, fault people for it.

    You gotta love management, eh?

If you're one of those talented people, then you're destined for glory. You will be mentioned in the pages of history and you will make it big!

As big as middle management allows you. For you see, these crappy management styles never end well. They might be allowed to slither for a while, but they will eventually be exposed and when they do.... There's no recovery!

On the other hand, the honest, crisp, straight forward manager. Eventually, gets there. It will take him longer, and many opportunities will pass him by. But in the end, he will make it. Because you see, people love him. They understand him. They respect him. Therefor they will follow him and push him forward.

The role of a manger is the role that has to do with making people overcome obstacles to achieve a common goal greater than the sum of the effort. It's the role of the seers keeping the ship on track. Keeping the rays of light focused in a tight spot, to finally create the spark of a fire, and harness the great power. Those are the ones that will make it to the top. Those are the few who care about the team... Not the position.

Time to turn in, I've had a very rough day, with back-breaking hard work (literally!).

On other news, QwaiderPlanet, and this blog got a long overdue upgrade. You will notice some speed and faster response. If you notice any of that, please let me know. Or don't!

    Enjoy Friday!
