Would you just take my word on something?

If someone drills holes in your argument, or in your work. Or if they point out to you things you missed, forgot or didn't even think of. Don't think badly of them. They're might not be doing this to belittle or undermine you or your work.

They might just be trying to help.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't shut off people just because they disagreed with you. Or because they tried to show you where you went wrong

It's very important for all of us listen and accept what others say, even if it's not favorable. That's the only way we can learn and grow.

If you think about it for a bit, you will know that learning and growing are the only two things that we start doing from well before we're born all the way to the minute we die. It's what life is all about

So next time someone starts drilling holes in your ideas and theories. Enjoy them, and look for ways to plug those holes. The more you do. The more you learn.

Actually, I wouldn't know. Nothing seems to work with some nasty bosses. Shutting down isn't going to help. I think pretty much the only thing that does help is finding another job

I have to agree with Qwaider,melicieuse,I would start looking around for another position even while still working for her,it helps one cope to maintain one's sanity and stay afloat,I must say BBH seems ljot=ugly.

i agree.. but in the real world. ppl usually ask for ur opinion and they dont want to hear the truth. like what do u think of my outfit? (she would be wearing something that looks like kees zbaleh) but u would smile and say " u look great"...

but when it comes to work there is no mujamalat. you should accept criticism and work your way to the top.

unfortunately many ppl will add u to thier X list if u disagree with them. that is why those ppl will never advance in life and will always be where they are. while others who open their mind and listen, might learn so much.

I wouldn't agree less.... but it should be done in a polite manner without annoying sarcasm or looking down on you or under estimating you, I am a teacher and I know what this means when I used to point out something to the students which I am teaching and they'd become offensive and ask Miss why do you hate me!! what did I do wrong? then I notice that the tone I was using was not polite, now I never have to face this, but still, surrounding us are a whole bunch of people who are ignorant when it comes to the etiquette of speaking!
