Brain washing wives

Sometimes, I feel sorry for some women. Usually university graduates, from good families. Then the minute they start talking you realize that they have been brain washed by their husbands. Turned into copies of their men. Saying the same stupidities, and cancelling everything about them that makes them individuals!

    It's sad really!

What would compel a woman to become a carbon copy of the guy she got married to? It totally beats me! But I've seen it happen. It keeps happening everyday.

To tell you the truth, I haven't experienced it in my life so far. My parents have been married for almost 50 years and they're still very distinct individuals. They don't agree on many things, and argue most of the time. But neither tries to cancel the other person!

How boring life gets when you end up marrying your own self!

The same thing I've seen with my sisters, and my own wife. They refuse to be "overwritten" by a man's personality.

But I understand why some men would want to cancel women's personality. It's easier when you have someone that blindly agrees with everything you say or do. But why take someone who already has a personality and force them to cancel it? Why not just get a blank canvas woman and shape her the way you want! Oops, sorry, those too are in great demand!

The state of Arab men and their families is really depressing. We really have no hope if we continue to be incomplete halves like this.

Have you noticed this too? Or are you like me few years ago, completely oblivious to the existence of this grave disease in our societies?

I agree, but you are also forgetting the brainwashed husbands who dissolve into the sofa cushions as soon as they have a wedding ring. Some times it's the "mama syndrome" where he has married his mother someone who will take care of everything for him she will even think up his opinions or it can be a result of the "papa syndrome" where the man married a bully someone who scares the shit out of him if he dares to open his mouth

Melicieuse, You're absolutely right. However I have no sympathy for those. I think most people don't either.

hehehehehehehehe @ qwaider I have no sympathy for either (man or woman)for disappearing into the shadows although for some women I can understand it can be a survival thing (with all the domestic violence).
@ Kitty, yeah I doubt any man would admit that the "papa syndrome" exists, but really statistically speaking I found a report from 2007 saying that about 40% of reported domestic violence cases were about men suffering abuse from women (it didn't say how big those women were)
so boys, you can admit you can be scared of wifey sometimes ;-)

I think I helped my wife see the evils of liberalism, and she helped me be more tolerant and accepting. We both taught each other things.

Marvin, you "THINK" you got the point across to her? Oh!
Yes there is no doubt of the fact that she helped you be more tolerant and accepting of everything she does to you.And I am quite sure you have got your nostril full of a full fledged A Cup of a Double B.
