    The god-damn-locker rooms!

If you frequent gyms in the US, you will undoubtedly start and end your routine with a visit to the all-male or all-female locker rooms.

I understand that people in the US and western Europe are generally more liberal with their bodies and nudity isn't an issue. However, it's really disturbing to see a man, completely naked. It just feels awkward!

Especially if you happen to know that person!

It gets even worse if that person is your senior at work, or college. It is just disturbing. Not only that, but for me as a middle-eastern, there's nothing more degrading to one of these people more than "bumping" into him naked in the locker room!

Few words that you might find interesting. I laughed to tears when I heard them!

"Moon Landing": If two guys accidentally bump butts while getting dressed (Locker rooms are usually tight on space and sometimes crowded).

"Splash Landing": Similar to moon landing, however, one of the two has just got out of the shower.

Kidding aside, I think locker rooms should have a certain level of privacy, and a minimum level of decency. Otherwise, disturbing scenes will continue to ruin your memories for as long as you live.

For me, it's the one thing that I can never get used to

I still see no point of this nudity "liberalism". I Agree, if it's anything; it's really disturbing.

I totally agree with...the more annoying that I was facing the same problem when I was in UAE. for Me I wasn't bothered of what I've seen (I was not impressed :D I'd love it maybe if the locker rooms where mixed :D) what was disturbing me is that they should respect the culture of Arabs exactly as they expect us to do the same in their countries

Loved your post.. I haven't been to US before but in Canada they have 4 kinds of washrooms..
    Men,, Women,, family,, Handicaps..
In the family one they mostly shower semi-naked..  I used to close my eyes in a way that things get blurry and walk through..
