Awesome Idea for new year's Eve in Jordan!

The party is going to be at 1st circle. For a moment here we can consider it Jordan's Time square!

This awesome idea sparked on Humaid's blog, and echoed by Nas on the Black-Iris.

Thoughts and festive ideas are welcome of course.

Amman 2010 New year's celebration

I am telling you if I was in Jordan, that's where I will be taking my family to spend the new year's eve.

Here's my "Idea contribution": Get some fireworks, and organize a night to remember at the 1st Circle!

Some quick tips:

Dress to impress, but make sure you stay warm
Pack your umbrella just in case
Bring all your friends
Carpool!
Park a bit away from the event
Bring your noise makers, balloons, hats and party favors!
Spread the word, call, txt message your friends, tweet about it, create a TweetUp for it, update your status on Messenger, Update your status on Facebook, follow the event, or blog about it
Be safe, follow common sense and all local rules.
Take TONS of pictures and share them!
If you have the urge to kiss the lady standing next to you during the celebration. DON'T!

fireworks is a really bad idea.
I'm also hesitant to take anyone there to be honest...man u don't know public gatherings here...especially the celebratory ones.

It's hard to imagine new year's without fireworks. It would be better if it was organized by a central authority, like maybe Amanet Amman

We have to break the stigma of public gatherings. It's just sad that people aren't feeling safe enough to be there with their families

I'm sure the future is going to be better :)

yea man,big difference between what you wish for and what you get, I came to believe that some changes can't happen suddenly,it takes time,long one. but everything has to start somewhere,i hope it turns out fine. I'll link to the event in the post I'm writing now.

We already had plans with friends, but if we were going I would take a taxi there and reserve a Moumayez taxi to go home :)

Glad to know, they're partying in jordan. was in south korea at new years and nobody noticed the change to 2010! :(
