Here's how you can distinguish a FANTASTIC idea from a stupid ones. Especially in online services domain.
I'm not going to spend your valuable reading time reviewing THIS great Site/Service, many have already done that.
It's the amazing potential of a service with great business model from the ground up. Putting the horse in from of the carriage from the get-go. Instead of starting a business, waiting for it to become successful THEN look for ways to monetize and make it profitable (a HUGE problem among start-ups including giants like Google, and twitter)
Best part? It makes a dream come true for Expatriates, instant delivery of photos to loved ones back home! I bet even the creators didn't even know they were making such a fantastic scenario possible. That distinguishes a great idea from a FANTASTIC one
First of all, I am not paid or affiliated with these guys in anyway. I don't have any gain out of this not in anyway. But just as I saw the amazing potential of Yamli. Then saw how it changed the world, one smart idea at a time. We are witnessing the history in the making with PhotoJoNet. The online picture printing and delivery company. The first of it's kind in Jordan.
Every patriot has the very same problem. Keeping in touch with loved ones back home. To do so, they need, among other things, pictures of wonderful occasions. Graduation, engagements, Marriage, baby showers...etc ...etc
I know in this age of the internet, people need not venture far from Facebook to get all of these. But if you're folks are old and old fashioned like mine. Nothing delivers the message better than a hard picture in their hand. A photo that commemorates the moment. One that they will cherish and proudly display in the living room with the rest of the grand children pictures.
In the past, people would develop pictures, mail them and wait weeks even months before they reach their loved ones. Think about it. Develop a picture for 10c. Then, add postage stamp, a good 40c then a trip to the post office, an envelope 10c and then few weeks, a trip to the post office and then they can enjoy the picture
For people living away from home like us in the United states, we're left out at the mercy of postal service. Or pay $$$ to fedex or UPS. Compare that to FREE delivery to your parent's home, to your friend's apartment or to your ex-workmates to show off your triumphant smile next to Steve Jobs :)
With PhotoJoNet, an expatriate like yours truly can upload the picture, have it printed for 10c and delivered to my folks NEXT DAY! Can you imagine that?
Isn't this a fantastic dream come true for every expat out there?
Now tell me, isn't that an amazing idea or what?
Memories....
well, I can tell you that it really is an amazing idea of yours. thanks
