10 things you shouldn’t do on your first day at work

    Samer posted a cool video on the top 10 things not to do on the first day at work, I think I can come up with a more updated list

    So Top 10 things you should never do on your first day at work.

    1. Do not access your Facebook account

    2. Do not share your blog address (or that you have a blog in the first place) on the first day.

    3. Fight the urge to make updates about your new job on your Twitter account

    4. Check your web mail account only ONCE

    5. If you disregard rule #1 above, don't you dare try and befriend your boss!

    6. Don't post pictures of your new work on Flickr.

    7. Don't install or log-into your messenger account.

    8. Fight the urge to check your favorite blog, or leaving comments

    9. Don't update your Linked-in profile, yet

    10. Don't you even dare come near your SecondLife or World of warcraft account.

    So there you have it, Qwaider's tips to help you have a wonderful and successful employment. As a good friend once told me, "Social media gives every idiot the chance to ruin their career". Be smarter than the curve

    Absolutely true, all of it. And I would say, never do #2 at all, if you want to bash your workplace in peace. ;-))) And you know you will want to bash it at some point.

    Trust me folks, if you think no one is watching what you're doing online, especially when you're at work. Then you might be in for a little unpleasant surprise
    Especially on your first few days. Keep your head low and just fight those urges
