It's amusing how we like to label things. Especially when describing the very same behavior

Take for example the act of excessively following someone. If a guy is doing that, he's immediately labeled a stalker, a weirdo or simply sick!

Have a girl do that, and she's just obsessed with someone. Or even romantically attached. It doesn't matter that the other person doesn't even know about it. Or that his privacy and every detail in his life is being violated. What matters is how amazing and romantic she is.

I know that this example favors women. While many people can think of others that favor men. But seriously, when it comes to "judging based on intentions", men seem to always get the worse deal.

Perhaps historically, men have somehow earned that reputation. Or perhaps, also historically women have been more convincing in their "act"... I don't really know

    Imagine this one too...

A guy claims he's in love with a girl to steal her money. Imagine, a girl doing exactly the same thing. They're both acting really well, removing any doubt from the person they're with. I know abstractly they're equally bad. But somehow the society views it as OK for one and not the other.

Consider a man crying and a woman crying. Who would move you?

Apparently, most people discriminate. Consciously or not, many can't even tell the difference...

Something to think about next time you sympathise with someone

I think women are WORSE at stalking and obsessing. Because they can be more manipulative, and thus more creative in it.
    Great post.
I think women are the winners always, they can convince men of what they think or want! and thus women actors are more convincing than men, Just a tear and everything will change around!

I distrust everyone equally. Everyone's motives are suspect, until they consistently fail to display indicators of an underlying plan. ;-)
