I'm a Mac, and I'm a PC, and I'm er, an IBMer!?

Not to be out-done in idiotic stupid rivalry, IBM launches a moronic Ad Campaign to differentiate itself from PCs (IBM practically INVENTED the PC) but still, the moronic ads are airing and asking people to "join us". But it's not very clear what they want people to join them in doing!

It's not like the average Joe spends his days contemplating the universe and how to crack the formula on faster than light travel or greater than unity power generation.

    Here's a simpler script:

I joined IBM because I NEEDED A JOB, ANY JOB, even if it was at IBM after I got laid off from [place your top company name here]

IBM lost its pizazz back in the early 1990's, when their OS2 (then way better than windows, MacOs, Linux and many flavors of Unix). Then they went head to head -again- with Microsoft office suite and lost (the sad part is that I was a huge fan of Lotus before it was overtaken by IBM, AmiPro was my #1 word processor/DTP)

Then IBM joined Motorola and Apple (and all three failed yet again) with their Power architecture (against Microsoft & Intel).

I remember the days of the very first PC XT, and how IBM used to be the beacon of light to guide all others. It was IBM that made Microsoft what it is. It was IBM that innovated just about anything we use today in the whole PC world. It's sad to see IBM go down that path.

I'm not sure when the dinosaurs at IBM are going to realize that the world of computers isn't about hostile wars and futile rivalries. It's about collaborating and coexistence. The loss of any part is a loss for the whole.

Hopefully, the future is going to be brighter for everyone. With less waste of resources on stupid commercials like these.

The M$ ads aren't any better, and they're following a similar path - that of rivalry, not coexistence!

But come on, someone at IBM has developed an equation to help me get to work faster.  Heavens be praised!

    Life was better with DOS.

I have never met a happy IBM employee. I think it's against their corporate policy to be happy. These days, it's against their corporate policy to have a work ethic.

Uhh, this has nothing to do with the type of computer. If you actually watched and understood the ad, they're saying why those people choose to work for the company. Work on your comprehension.

The mere fact that I need a genius like you to explain such a dumb ad for me, speaks volumes.
