Previewing: Night at the Museum 2 | Battle of the Smithsonian (2009)

With just about everyone on the who's-who landscape in the comedy world with a ton of cameos. The movie is not short on big names.

It does have its moments, but it also gets too slow at times. It will help you crack a giggle here or there. But nothing like the continuous side bursting fun of the original. Making it an average sequel. Failing to live up to the reputation of the first one.

The CGI of course is perfect, but the good old days of watching a movie just to marvel at the beauty of the latest in computer tricks are gone. It's all be seen and done before. It adds little to the sum of the story these days, and this story lacks any sort of fireworks. It lacks fizz, like a warm soda can.

Verdict... Watchable ... But only if you have to
