Ron Howard finally redeems his lost soul from the atrocity he committed while directing, The Da Vinci Code

It's hard to believe that it's been three years since that monstrosity mutilated the masterpiece of clever problem solving and clue hunting between the covers of the Dan Brown super best seller.

But this time ... He did EXACTLY what he was supposed to do the first time. Focus on the strength of the book. Not the stupid dramatic handling of the story. Screw drama! There's a story to be told here, and this time ... He did it in what I am happy to call a sequel that is WAAAAY better than the original. You don't get to say that often you know

I love this movie because it tries to bridge the gap between science and religion. It tries to prove that deep inside we're all believers. It also clearly hints at how MEN are behind everything unholy, doing it all while claiming it to be the will of God.

Where have we heard that before? Just about every brain washing cult in history have resorted to this. Brain washing people to do evil, blamed on God and then small minds find joy in pointing fingers at these evil people and shouting, it's the work of God.

Enough about my views and what I got out of this excellent movie. The actual movie is really masterfully directed and choreographed. The music adds an epic dimension and the blending of CGI with real life characters in a way I've only seen on "Sanctuary" is an EXCELLENT call and probably the best bet Ron Howard made. (only here it's done a million times better).

I can't talk much about the plot without spoiling it so I'll let you be the judge, I will however encourage you to watch it. It's one hell of a block buster and deserves to be seen on the big screen

9/10 on the Qwaider Scale. Definitely a must see.

    Now my thoughts:

Priests in crimson ropes and white table cloth look so gay! (with all due respect)
The Swiss guard in tights, look even more gay!
You really need a LOT more Anti-Matter to produce a viable explosion.

I saw it today and loved it. I didn't watch da vinci since I read the book, but I didn't read Angels and Demons so I decided to watch it instead!

Yes it was good as you described. Regarding the anti-matter stuff, I wouldn't know, though for a book that relies on lots of research you'd expect them to nail it.

I can't wait to see this movie.
A couple of years ago i read the Angels & Demons book .. unfortunately i lost the book when i was a couple of chapters away from the end. So I sort of know the whole story except the ending .. i can venture a guess, but Dan Brown usually throws in an unexpected twist at the end.

Anyway, i'll definitely try to watch that movie tonight.

As for the vatican guards clothing, i think these were designed by leonardo da vinci himself if i am not mistaken. Although they look goofy, they are supposed to be elite Swis guards if i am not mistaken.
