Memories....
As for Mac OS (OSX is just version #10) moving to non-Apple PCs .. this seems interesting ... i still have a hard time convincing myself to move to the Mac world yet (i've recently declined taking a new Mac machine from my boss).
I am going to bypass your little swipe on Linux :-p .. not in the mood for a flame war now :-)
For OSX, just wait and see :)
As for Linux, you know it's true. Couple of years ago they were starting to find a foothold in sub $400 laptops, now, they're almost all exclusively windows. And I've been in touch with couple of hardware vendors and they're super excited about the upcoming Windows 7 (because they can still sell the same hardware they have invested in and it's already compatible and working well)
Anyway, if all Linux enthusiasts leave emotions aside, they would know that desktop-round2 has been lost again to windows (and MacOSX). I'm sure there will be round 3 soon. But this was such a lost opportunity because of Vista. Windows 7 is going to be one really tough one to beat! Especially in these hard economic times when little linux with little profit margins is suffering (as is the case with all open source)
I think i am a mild Linux supporter. That is, I like linux and use it everyday, but i have nothing personal against Windows or Mac OS .. they are both fine operating systems. I don't think that i've ever made the statement that "this operating system sucks" .. each OS has its advantages and to each his own :-)
