If you've had to share files, pictures, music, favorite radio stations or -whatever- recently you, have probably received them through this AMAZING new technology that has been -literally- long overdue. But in this connected world. There is no such a thing as too late... This Amazing video (check the awesome MacBook Air in it), shows how you can simply and easily synchronize (and simplify) your life
And that's how it's been for us for the past few weeks with Microsoft live Mesh. Oh by the way, this service is FREE! Not a promotion, not a trial. It's totally and completely FREE!
Here's how a normal day would go...
I would snap a picture with my phone
It gets updated on my Live mesh
Maioush suddenly sees it as she's subscribed to my mesh
She now can view my picture without me having to do ANYTHING! It just auto-magically WORKS!
My sister wants to see a movie I recently recorded, the zip-file is 200MB in size and I can't send it in anything but FTP, but Mesh allows it to run, in the background, without me having to do ANYTHING extra! So Maioush just sends her a link to the share, that I created and done! Now she's got it!
These are just the tip of the iceberg! I swear! With live mesh client on my PC, I can CONTROL my PC from half the way across the world. And that's no joke!
The awesome thing even works through firewalls, no rocket science necessary to open ports, or add special filters, or use VPN. It just works!
I have like 30 different coding projects that I'm working on. I really need to continue working wherever I am (on my main PC, on my laptop, At home) so what do I do? I synch them all through mesh and it can't be any better.
Another example is that I have like 200 different documents that I need to keep in sync. And I need to have them ALL wherever I go. From my phone (for reference) to my home, to my office. And I don't want to keep 16 different versions that are all out of sync. What do I do? Throw them on my live Mesh share, and FORGET ABOUT IT! It just works amazingly!
Frankly, this is to P2P (and P2self) as Gmail was to Email. Just, simply BRILLIANT!
This is not like "Google docs", this doesn't edit or do anything to documents. It's just a delivery system, and frankly it's just awesome
(PS, if the service tells you that it's by invitiation only, I can send you an invite, just let me know, or anyone else who is alrady on Mesh)
Go ahead, Synchronize your life! (and take a look at my Mesh desktop, synched through Mesh service to my blog server)
I didn't say anything about IE. The video shows a guy using it on a Mac, so the browser is actually out of the picture. It's just a vessel (FYI, I just tried it with Chrome, and it worked)
Memories....
Thank U :)
I actually have 2
Anyway
Thanks for showing me this - great piece of software.
