Yes it's not like the option is either all talk, or war, there are other things that can be done.

Withdrawing ambassadors. I don't recommend that since it'll also only be symbolic and will do more harm than good. Keeping lines of communication open is one measure to prevent war.

Send aid (would require Egypt opening the Raffah crossing one way (Egypt to Gaza) sot he aid can come in. I can't imagine why they won't. It's much harder to send it through Jordan since it has to pass Israeli points.

Egypt can shut down its gas pipe to Israel. It's only a matter of money.

Even with those 2 options, anyone who would call Egypt a traitor over this is a traitor themselves in a sense since they have fallen into a trap that Livny probably intended when she made her warning from Cairo (instead of from Tel Aviv) that Israel will make Hamas regret its actions, and wipe it out if it keeps firing rockets at them.

The last thing we need now is to break what tiny shreds of unity we have left.
