Little Miss Sunshine (2006)

Now here's a movie that everyone can kick back, and enjoy. It's funny, and family oriented although I would warn against having having kids watch it since it does contain some harsh language

7.0/10 on the Qwaider scale a joy to watch.

As I have reported earlier, I was scheduled for an advance screening for the Fox Searchlight upcoming comedy/Family movie, "Little Miss Sunshine"

"Little Miss Sunshine" is a pageant where talented young girls compete for the title "Miss Sunshine". Olive the youngest member of the Hoover family ends up qualifying for the contest after coming up as the first runner up in a local Albuquerque contest after the first prize winner forfeited.

The dysfunctional family. Where the Father is on the brink of bankruptcy, the mother is bot to get a divorce, the uncle just tried to commit suicide after his gay crush left him for his life long competition a brother who has sworn not to speak a single word until his dream of joining Air-force academy is achieved and The grandfather is doing drugs and god knows what else!

So they journey against all odds to California where not even their beat up VW bus is cooperating and discover how much they mean to each other

The movie is very funny, but I have to admit slow at times. Especially at the beginning, but once they hit the road, it gets moving on and becomes very funny.

Of course after watching that piece of crap "Scanner Darkly" anything is a great movie :) But this one seriously was!

The only thing that annoyed me throughout the screening was a strong smell of Indian feed coming from someone behind me. It was nasty! And the damn thing wouldn't stop! What's worse it was coming in waves. Every time I thought it's over I get another shock wave of that nasty smell! I'd like to think after whoever was done eating were only burping and nothing worse!

Anyway, check it out, it's a very funny movie
